For me the hardest thing was to tell to someone that I new for a long time. And I tought I would disapoint that person because I lied to him/her for a such a long time.

my parents, it took them a while, my mom had the "go see a doctor" for a week or so but I answered that that will never happen. Well, you must give others some time to adjust and it was 25 years ago.

Now they have fully accepted now and tell their friends and everybody who wants to know.

I've been out to school in the 90s too, that was exhausting. 😉

            In the 90s?

That should have been much different than it is nowadays..

            😉

The act of just doing it, with all the fear of judgement and rejection… but after coming out, it became much, much easier.

Even telling it to my family is the hardest thing itself 😕

accepting yourself and feeling guilty for "lying" before.

**_I didn't come out of the closet…..I exploded, together with the hinges and all

kidding aside, there's no coming out, my parents and siblings just knew I was gay, no drama

During my highschool years, I even brought my gay classm8 at my house after school hours, My classm8s' mothers knew that their sons are gay too and are friend with my mother....._**

I haven´t come out yet (21), but Im thinking about telling my 3 closest friends and Its gonna be hard because they are not homophobic and I feel guilty for not telling them, but I was just not ready and still arent 100% (but close). Also, I have 3 cousins and 1 of them is Lesbian (her parents, sisters and me know), and I have also not told them although I definitely could. My parents on the other side and my grandma (my favourite person) will not take it well at all, so I guess that will be hard.

Something I noticed about coming out is what makes it more difficult is not really people knowing about you but the pain it will bring to the ones who are not so homo-friendly

Probably, telling my mom–wondering how she would take it. :afraid:

Explain to your parents that you are not different
