      @groovedware:

      The one virgin I did break in didn't mention the virgin bit and I only learned later when the accusations of me raping him got to my ears.

      I feel your pain… I have been through hell with wrongful accusations with things like that before. Just be glad it didn't wrongfully land you in jail like it did with me.

        Gee guys! That sounds awful!  :afr:
        Now, a bit about the risks: once again it's cool to remember that people from all over the world use the forum. In Europe and North America I guess it's pretty easy for people to be on meds for HIV, but that may not be the reality of some other places around the world. So, as to put things into perspective, protection as a general rule seems a good and wise thing to do. If you live in a very priviledged place and feel safe about it, then ok, I think it's great that people can enjoy free sex without being worried - I wish I felt that safe, as bareback sex is indeed great. But I knew people around here where I live that died because they could not pay for meds… yes... still in these days =/

          That sounds actually really hot.

              Yes, well, it's not actually "hot" so much as when I am the top I expect the same respect I give when I am on bottom.  I have learned the hard way that I am fairly unique in this regard or just have bad luck with bottoms because I usually only get the whiny ones.

              Though I don't go for virgins maybe if I was more persuasive with the whole "just shut up and take it" routine I might set my sights lower.

                Guys, you can never be sure but if you are and you are tested negative, why not try it.  :cheesy2:

                    Well, a top like that is what you have with me but the question is are you the bottom for me.  I have a test for potential bottoms which is not checking for virginity (though I should really include that) if you are interested.

                      Sounds interesting… So What constitutes the test?

                        Absolutely.
                        And the fact that they have meds for HIV etc. now isn't cause enough to just throw caution out.  They have medicine for burn victims too, doesn't mean I'm going to start flicking my hand in fireplaces because statistics are favorable.

                        If we aren't in a committed relationship, condoms are going to be used, no negotiations.

                          Absolutely! It's not just HIV, it's all the other STDS i'm worried about. Plus, it's also out of respect for my partner.

                              @MrMazda:

                              Actually, at this day and age, HIV is the least of your worries. I'll bet you didn't know that more recent studies that attempted to quantify risk factors among gay men have all noted that there has been not a single case of HIV transmission from a person who is HIV+ with an undetectable viral load. The fact remains that most people with HIV (although not all) within North America at least are all on HIV meds and maintain such an undetectable viral load. Simply put, it's a lot harder at this day and age to catch it than you might think.

                              Omfg.

                              Our analyses suggest that the risk of HIV transmission in heterosexual partnerships in the presence of effective treatment is low but non-zero and that the transmission risk in male homosexual partnerships is high over repeated exposures. If the claim of non-infectiousness in effectively treated patients was widely accepted, and condom use subsequently declined, then there is the potential for substantial increases in HIV incidence.

                              http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0140673608611150

                              Conclusions: Most serodiscordant gay couples do not engage in any Unprotected Anal Intercourse (UAI). UAI within such relationships is significantly more likely to occur where the HIV-positive partner is reported to have undetectable viral load. UAI in HIV serodiscordant relationships is problematic even if viral load is undetectable because of unknown risk parameters, viral load variability and the possibility of drug-resistant strains of HIV.

                                            Yes, everyone is a Virgin on the internet, if you let them tell you that.  The only person you should ever trust is yourself. Protect yourself, and if that hurts someone Else's feelings or they don't want to have sex with you.  Move on the someone else.  The best way to eliminate all doubt is both of you get tested at the same time. Use condoms until 6 months after you meet and have been tested.

                                            Some people don't count oral as sex, or nonpentration as sex.  There are many ways in which people believe they retain their virginal status.  I have known a few people who have contracted diseases through oral sex.
