Why would your parents be going through the items in your room? -
… Dear no matter where you hide it, your mother will find it... and if she knows you are gay, and most likely she knows, either she'll have a talk or ignore, so you can do it behind her back or talk to her... if she is completely against gays, well... I'd think that in top of a wardrobe or behind furniture it will be hard to get unless she goes spring cleaning.

Why would your parents be going through the items in your room?That is what they do specially if they know you are gay, the control over the deviated son takes place above reason or respect most of the times. I wish more folk would be accepting and respectful but several are not.

A good hidding spot… Well we all know how parents tend to intrude privacy. Well a not used backpack? A bag you never use? BEfore getting the dildo, try seeing where ur parents search most to your room. Also, a really, REALLY good hidding place, is a closet (?) (sorry, I am not really good at english) Ok, so a closet/locker where u actually put books, but behind the books you actually keep goodies!

For a long time I had a dildo hidden inside a plush elephant ;D
Now I simply keep it iside one of my backpacks. When I want to go out with the backpack where the dildo is I change it into another backpack. -
From my experience, your best bet is to wrap it in something like a small towel and leave it in an area that is out of plain sight, such as inside a box of bag that would appear to be something normal like a pair of shoes, or the box from a piece of equipment (like a cable box or computer parts) that you may have kicking around to disguise it as being something else.

Back when I lived at home, I just had a box in one of the drawers in my dresser that I kept my toys in. Clothes would go in front of it, on the off chance anyone other than me was in the drawer, so it wouldn't be seen unless you took the drawer almost all the way out.
Though now, they all just live in an under-the-bed storage box, because I needed the closet space, and no one who comes over is likely to be looking under there to be scared off by the collection.

Do you absolutely have to have a dildo? I mean a sex toy that is obviously a fake penis. I know that the visual appeal and the risk of getting caught with it are a turn on, but if all you want is something to shove in your ass then I suggest that you take advantage of any number of household items. When I was younger, closeted, and lived with my parents I used anything I could get my hands on. A non-lubricated condom (so there was no residual lube left behind on the item INSIDE the condom) plus any slick substance I could lay my hands on got me off many times. anything long and hard was a potential toy. Hairbrush handle, toilet plunger handle, even a water bottle. As long as it wouldn't rip through the condom because of rough/sharp edges and I could keep hold of it so I didn't lose it up my ass, I tried it at least once. If my parents found the condoms, I'd have been embarrassed (at that age) but not outed. Lube would have been assumed to be for jerking off, again embarrassing for a teen but "better" than the alternative (or so I thought at the time). If you don't have a sex toy, you don't have to hide a sex toy. All you need is something innocuous that you can USE as sex toy.
