Not in most cases…. If you're using a really super fast like 150Mbit connection, then it's possible the VPN may not be able to keep up with your connection, but otherwise, you shouldn't really notice much difference at all.... Although some VPN torrenting can actually increase your speed because of traffic shaping imposed on P2P traffic by your ISP.

I've used Malwarebytes for many years now, both in Windows 7 and Windows 8, and it's never caused me any problems with Gaytorrent.ru. It's always good to install BEFORE any ransomware happens, so that when it does Malwarebytes can sneak up behind it and stab it in the back! But wait - are you perhaps on the paid or premium trial version?

You have to distinguish between two things: 1/ The number of **.**torrent files you can get within a gliding 24 hours window. Those increase with the minimum ratio, the ratio you are above the minimum, the own uploaded torrents still listed and finally the amount of donation. This is controlled by the site frontend. The calculation is described on the "Rationator" page https://www.gaytor.rent/rationator.php and the result shown on your Profile page. (Remark: own .torrent files, already downloaded (green background listed torrents) and Freeleech torrents are not count) That is not simultaneous downloading, which happens in the torrent client: 2/ The number of torrents "Downloading" data files by the torrent client simultaneously being with the GayTorrent.ru tracker. This is controlled  by the tracker backend. The limits are described at the "Downloading Rules" https://www.gaytor.rent/rules.php#96 and depend on upload amount, ratio, user status (User or Pwer User and above) or being donator (limit = 100), unless being in download rights gracetime or download rights taken (limit = 2). With downloads rights taken, only "Freeleech" can connect to the tracker as downloading. My first answer was regarding this item 2/ and here the "Donator" (star) status will be kept as long as the account exists, i.e. the account life time. Some members try to create multiple accounts and when caught don't keep the account on which they donated, that is why I mentioned the "account lifetime". Many data files downloads complete very quickly, so even with a limit of 2 here, more than 2 can be completed within 24 hours usually. However some bad seeded can take weeks to complete and block a precious slot. If the allowed number of torrents downloading data at the same time is exceeded, the tracker will send the "bad ratio: x torrent limit" style message to the torrent client. (Remark: for the tracker all torrents which have not completed the download off all the files listed in a torrent's file list are count as downloading, even if the files selected for download are completed and seed. The uploaded data will of course be counted correctly towards upload).

Please keep in mind that SSL connections using XP and IE combination are NOT secure and it doesn't concern only GayTorrent.ru but all websites (just think to online banking or when you shop online giving credit card details and/or passwords). Better use Chrome or Firefox. As well the connection to the GayTorrent.ru tracker will not be encrypted at all, like they were for many years

I don't know my way around the forums very well and didn't want to bother the HelpDesk. So I think this thread is related enough that I can post here- I just wanted to say thanks to whoever added the Home Made category which is very helpful to me. It can be frustrating when amateur covers the broader category of amateur studio and one has to sift through all the studio stuff to find real amateur/home-made. I visit a flash site from time to time that makes it frustrating because they must have literally thousands of webcam twinks doing solos, so much that it overwhelms the amateur category. I suppose thats how these niches form; when a sub theme becomes so frequent, it can branch off to its own theme. For example, there is voyeur, which could often be considered home-made, but is common enough to have its own niche that is more easily searched. I already see some studio stuff in the home-made category, just a very little. I guess I am worried about it being overwhelmed with webcam solos also someday. They are so very common. But anyways, I just wanted to thank someone for the new Home Made category. It makes it easier for me and I am grateful. Thank you.

If you are from the USA, you might want something better like a VPN. I'm from Australia. The only time I received a notice was the one time I forgot to having Peer Block running for a few hours. I also try to use file lockers whenever I can as those does not get tracks.

Yes. A torrent needs to be announced as completed 100% (of all files) by the torrent client and that announcement registered by the tracker to be recorded as "snatched" in the data base. Only those completely downloaded files torrents can be vote for.

Staff don't get reports of comments left on torrents, unless we left a comment ourselves. So use the report button to let us know about PROBLEMS (real, actual) with the torrents. Please, for the love of god, don't use the report button to leave a comment.  "WOW, this is hot!!!" does not belong as a report.

The sad reality to the internet is that once something is out there on the internet, good luck getting it back off the internet. I do understand your frustrations with respect to only wanting to share content here. The only problem is that ultimately, we cannot control what our users do.

I enjoyed using the picture browser occassionally in the past, and I thought it used my saved categories as defaults.  This one appears to start off with all categories enabled. I would like it if it started off with just my saved categories, becuase now the first thing I have to do is expand the categories list, and then select my categories!  Other than that, it is still something I will continue to use to explore.
