    @Mcjl: One of my friends worked at a subway and always told horror stories as to how old and tainted the meat would be. They would switch the dates on the product if it didn't get sold. Grosssssssss I noticed "eat fresh" isn't in the equation. Ew! That sucks, but I think that everyone does this  :sickr:.

    @JohnAllenson: To build on that. It's possible to say a lot of ambiguous things in English.  If you say "pun unintended' you mean that you didn't intend for there to be more than one meaning.  If you say 'pun intended' then both meanings are implied. My choir conductor told the Tenor section:  "I know you all like the D but you're staying on the D too long."  She did not intend the double meaning. When I said, "The acting pool in Canada tends to be shallow" - I meant both meanings.  There are few available actors for many shows and those actors tend to be shallow. John Allenson is correct!

    I wish it'd snow here. It's still pretty warm for autumn. Today it's like 21 degrees (Celcius). It should be in the low teens to single digits. I love it when it's -20 and you come in from the cold into a toasty room, or the bracing cold when you step out. Winter's my favorite season.
