Pence’s press secretary Alyssa Farah had this to say: “The vice president is proud to lead the U.S. delegation to the Olympics and support America’s incredible athletes. “[Rippon]’s accusation is totally false and has no basis in fact. Despite these misinformed claims, the vice president will be enthusiastically supporting all the U.S. athletes competing next month in Pyeongchang.” Nevertheless, Pence’s stance on the LGBTQ community is well-known. Allegedly, Trump himself smirkingly says Pence wants to hang all gay people. In the 1990s, he penned an article advising employers to never hire gay people. The list goes on and on. @apollonius: I really, really, really don't see any problem with that poster. Those guys seem to be into manly men, and they want to spend an evening amongst like-minded men. That's absolutely fine. I also have no problem when women organise a women-only event, or when children congregate under the exclusion of adults. You aren't seeing it for what it's intent is. The poster is only there to mock masculine gay men who aren't interested in flamers and women. It's shows why identity politics are a bunch of shit.

To me, it's just Facebook still trying to curry favor with the Chinese government by being overly eager to cooperate. Facebook can either support LGBT people or appease the government, but not both…but it doesn't seem to understand that, otherwise Zuckerberg would've given up already. Sad, because I know no matter how hard it tries, the Chinese government isn't ever going to let Facebook in the country. It'll be a cold day in hell when that happens.
