I had no idea that The Comeback and 2 Broke Girl were created by the same guy.  I do watch both shows.  The Comeback is brilliant.  HBO has given an open commitment to Kudrow and she can come back and do another season whenever she likes.  I actually hope they wait a few more years.  I think it's an interesting concept to check in on Valerie Cherish at different points of her life. I watch 2 Broke Girls every week.  Mostly I just listen in the background because they do have some pretty funny one liners.  I'm surprised CBS allows it. The other Kudrow show that is absolutely brilliant is Web Therapy.  I can't believe  Showtime canceled it.  It has to be REALLY cheap to make.  It's just two actors sitting stationary staring at a camera.  It must cost next to nothing to produce.  They could have kept it around a little longer.

It's a marketing plan. He is okay, nothing else.

I watched some episodes of the first season to see what the fuzz is all about. But nothing for me.  :blind: Maybe I'll join the next hype.

Those groups were geared towards our time. I think that One Direction are geared towards the current generation, and that our era is over.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with it. I don't mean to accuse them of pandering, because I'm really not that cynical. I just find the lack of subtlety amusing.

I was a kid in the mid-late 90's. Back then, I was all about stuff like Korn and Deftones (they were both huge at the time). TBH, I can't stand the stuff now (I can tolerate the old Deftones stuff, but Korn just sounds like the product a bunch of dumb, white trash tweakers, because that's precisely what they were in those days). The only band from back then that I still really love (love) today is Type O Negative, but they've always stuck out like a sore thumb amongst the "alt./numetal/groove metal/post-grunge/blah blah blah" bands that were de rigueur in the mid-to-late 90's and early 2000's. I like some of the pre-numetal "grunge/alternative" from the late 80's and early 90's as well, but I think a lot of it sounds painfully dated and manufactured, and, TBH, I can't stand the cult of personality surrounding people like Cobain. Stuff like Melvins and Dinosaur Jr. is really good, though, I think.
