In the UK, under labour, taxes went up and when people struggled to pay their bills because wages were stagnant, while taxes and inflation skyrocketed.  Gordon Brown (the then tax man) told the nation to put their bills on their credit cards.

The ruling, from the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in Seattle, clarifies, for now, who is covered by the ban. In June, the Supreme Court allowed parts of President Trump’s executive order temporarily barring all travelers from six predominantly Muslim countries, and all refugees, to take effect while the court considered arguments over whether such a ban was constitutional. But the court said the government should let in travelers and refugees with a “bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States,” without fully defining what that meant. The administration defined it as immediate family members and in-laws, but not grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. The Ninth Circuit's 37-page opinion declared that definition to be lacking in substance: “Stated simply, the government does not offer a persuasive explanation for why a mother-in-law is clearly a bona fide relationship, in the Supreme Court’s prior reasoning, but a grandparent, grandchild, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, or cousin is not.” The court mandated that the government resume resettling refugees in the United States beginning in five days. This will be interesting, because I don't think the Supreme Court will appreciate the California Court of Moonbats overruling them.

It's all about negotiation. The President also has to enforce laws he might not agree with. The fact that he is negotiating with Democrats shows that he is willing to work with them rather than just Executive Order them like Obama did creating law Unconstitutionally. If Obama didn't like a law, he simply did Congress's job for them and wrote an EO and said "Screw You, what are you gonna do about it?"

As a Canadian, I know people who would find this useful to opt out of the gender binary on official documents. I disagree with the term 'traditional' gender since some of the Indigenous communities have 3-4 genders.  As far as that goes, Talmudic Judaism lists 6 genders. I do question have this on passports when most countries do not recognize more than two genders.

It is a bad idea to use public VPNs. If you have some skills it's better to setup your own. You can get a VDS/cloud hosting to install any simple VPN script you can find in the net for free. Control and customization are the main advantages. And the price of the hosting is a bit lower than the price of a good VPN.

You and I both left out 9.67% from our figures. I think these 9.67 are "Non inscrits." but these number changed as now there are 8 sieges for FN instead of 6 firstly announced.

It's a bad decision.  I have friends and family that have fought in Afghanistan and Iraq, and even they're not thrilled with the idea of even Islamic allies migrating here.  The reason is that while they were allies on the battlefield, you wouldn't want them as your neighbor.  My cousin was telling me how his interpreter saved their hide, and when they gave candy to some of the kids, the same interpreter encouraged the boys to kick the crap out of the girls who received the candy and admonished the boys who didn't. Quite frankly, it's hard to know what we're getting in terms of cultural values, and that's a frightening prospect.  If we're going to take on migrants in the long run, such an addition should be contingent first on a major reformation within Islam itself, or else I fear many more Pulses are headed to Western society.
