I remember when I watched for the first time… OMG! I watched the 2 sequels (Ringu 2 and Ringu 0) a little after, both are good but not as good as the first one. After a long time I watched Rasen, the first sequel to Ringu, but it was such a weird experience, I understand why they pretended that this first sequel didn't exist and made Ringu 2 instead. Rasen changes the tone and makes the story something else, from the supernatural horror in Ringu we go to a sci-fi spin on Rasen. But it was a nice experience, something like a parallel world version.

@JohnAllenson: in Canada we buy milk in bags It's possible to find them in the UK, too, although you'd have to really look for it. In Brazil they are also available, but it is so rare that many younger people don't even know they exist. They were phased out because the weather is so hot that the milk could go bad while being transported.

It's sad, but modern young people don't know anything but how to whine about everything. Back when Tony Blair was PM of the UK, they brought in Civics and there was a TV show hosted by John Prescott, the then Deputy PM.  Anyway, in the very first episode, they had 2 girls that got A*** (over exaggerated perfect score) in the class.  They had no idea who they were talking to and when asked, they said they thought he was Churchill. Jamie Oliver did a TV series about kids eating healthy food and the kids had no idea what 90% of the stuff was, including common items like apple and potatoes.

@drfox: In my country one of the biggest December celebrations is St. Lucia's Day… which is coincidentally today!  The celebration comes from stories that were told by monks who first brought christianity to sweden. It is celebrated by a girl dressing in a white dress with a red sash round her waist and a crown of candles on her head. My family also celebrates christmas. On 24 December we have julbord which is basically a giant buffet or smörgåsbord specifically for christmas... julbord is very common celebration of christmas here. We also watch Kalle Anka at 3:00 on SVT1 on 24 December... which for those who don't know is Donald Duck christmas special! It is a cool national tradition ;D Good for you!
