I'm Jewish. My religious texts mandate death penalties.  By Roman times Jewish practice had eliminated the Death Penalty. In theory, I support the Death Penalty.  In practice I don't trust governments (or anybody else mind you) with the power to execute people.

There's also the issue of using it to prevent the homeless from sleeping in them. They won't supply them with housing and won't let them sleep in other places.

The guy in Dubai may not be safe - especially if he's one of their non-citizen slaves employees who have no protection under the laws. Wahabism is the most extreme/conservative version of islam.    They follow Wahab, 1st and foremost, and if he doesn't talk about something they then go back to the quran and Mohammed.

Yes that is true. The current political set up is bad for liberty. Hinduism talks about including all possibilities. But political set up is against of some many beautiful possibilities.

Yes, I'm afraid my analogies got a bit off-center in the last post.  Your glory holes in England are indeed man-made, as was the one in my original post and video clip (although they are related to meteorological events, such as rain/flooding). If it were a private person, then I would say it's off limits. As a public figure, I have less concern. As a news anchor, he probably had no problem telling these stories about others, so I have even less problem.

I was shocked when I read that he had passed away. I have listened to "Such a shame" endless times… it is one of my parents' favorite song ever and they played it at home all the time when I was living with them.
