dont use a converter you'll only corrupt it even more and degrade the quality use AVI FIX  its been around for yrs and yrs and is exactly what you need it for http://www.divfix.org

Thanks guys for all the replies! Yes, sadly it does appear that images can now be tracked although it seems it is not widespread at the  moment. And 'in the doghouse' means that someone is angry at you. It is similar to 'having to sleep on the sofa.' Not the best place to be!
