Help deended creating torrents

I'm using qBittorrent and Ubuntu. Just need some advice on how to do this torrent thing…..
I've created the .torrent file from a vid on my desktop, used the GT web pages and uploaded the torrent file. Says I have to download the torrent else it wont work. I have downloaded the torrent, it looks like qBittorrent is trying to download the file but the status is "stalled".
Some questions;
Am I doing it right as it says "Stalled" against the torrent file I have redownloaded.
Should it be redownload the file or something?
Should I have uploaded the video to somewhere?
Am I able to move the torrent file from the desktop to another folder on my PC? -

First if you want to move your file to another folder, do it before you seed it.
After you post your torrent here, you need to download that posted torrent.
Then you open it in your usual torrent program and when that program asks where you want to save it you point it to the ORIGINAL file you made the torrent from.
Don't worry if it says it will overwrite the file, it won't (but you can make a copy to be safe). Then the prog will check that file to see that is the right one and then start seeding.
You don't have to do anything with the actual file. And if you need any more help, just shout
