Gaytor.rent Uploader: desktop upload tool for Windows and Mac
-
Hi everyone,
until the new QTM is ready, there is now a desktop tool for uploading: the Gaytor.rent Uploader for Windows and Mac. It was built by ianfontinell, who kindly handed it over to us, so it now has an official home.
What it does
- works like the upload page, right on your desktop
- builds contact sheets and still frames from your files
- can start seeding right away in qBittorrent or uTorrent
Downloads
Windows, Mac (Apple chip and Intel) and Linux, always the current version: https://www.gaytor.rent/qtm.phpOn a Mac, the first start may show a message that macOS cannot check the app. In that case open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, and click "Open Anyway".
Please keep in mind that this is a temporary tool. Our new client is in the works and will replace it soon.
A big thank you to ianfontinell!

Gaytor.rent Uploader 1.1.8 is out, built by ianfontinell. Thank you!
What's new:
- safeguards against out of memory errors with very high resolution thumbnails
- high resolution thumbnails now show up in the "Pictures" panel
- optional frame timestamps in the contact sheets
- better image quality slider, with a warning when you pick PNG
- previews from torrent files now update the progress bar and can be cancelled
- the Mac version now checks for updates on startup
Mac users, please update once by hand: version 1.1.7 on the Mac cannot tell you about new versions. Download the current version here: https://www.gaytor.rent/qtm.php. From 1.1.8 on, the uploader checks on every start and tells you when a new version is out.
Windows users with 1.1.7 will see the update notice the next time they start the uploader.

Gaytor.rent Uploader 1.2.0 is out: Linux, command line and one-click updates
What's new:
- One-click updates (since 1.1.9): when a new version is out, the uploader offers Update now. It downloads the new version, checks it, installs it and restarts. If anything goes wrong, it opens the download page instead and leaves your installed version alone.
- Linux: a new download, GTUpl-linux-x86_64.tar.gz. Unpack it and start GTUpl/GTUpl. It runs on Debian 12 and 13 and other current distributions.
- Command line: the uploader now also works without a window, on Linux, Mac and Windows, so you can use it in your own scripts:
GTUpl upload "My Clip" --category Amateur --description-file "My Clip.txt"
Run GTUpl --help for all options. Your API key goes into the environment variable GTUPL_API_KEY or into a file, never on the command line itself.
Windows and Mac users with 1.1.8 or older: please download once more by hand, from https://www.gaytor.rent/qtm.php. From 1.1.9 on, the uploader updates itself with one click.
Thanks again to ianfontinell for the uploader!

Gaytor.rent Uploader 1.2.1 is out: better pictures for your torrent presentation
What's new (thanks to ianfontinell):
- image files named "cover" inside your torrent now come first in the pictures list
- the first picture is marked POSTER, and the picture closest to 16:10 is marked GRID POSTER
- you can sort the pictures alphabetically, by the time they were added or by aspect ratio
- frames taken from your videos for the presentation can show the video name
- when you add a whole folder, "create subfolder" is now ticked for you
Please update by hand this time: the update check inside the uploader does not see 1.2.1. Download it from https://www.gaytor.rent/qtm.php (Windows, Mac with Apple chip, Mac with Intel, Linux; the SHA-256 checksums are next to the buttons).
- Windows: run the installer, it replaces your current version.
- Mac: drag the new app into Applications and replace the old one.
- Linux: unpack the new archive and start GTUpl/GTUpl.

Gaytor.rent Uploader 1.2.2 for Mac (Apple chip and Intel) and Linux
What's new:
- the uploader now asks gaytor.rent itself whether a new version is out
Please update once by hand: version 1.2.1 and older cannot see new versions anymore. Download 1.2.2 here: https://www.gaytor.rent/qtm.php. From 1.2.2 on, the uploader tells you again when a new version is out.
Linux: 1.2.2 needs glibc 2.39 or newer (for example Debian 13 or Ubuntu 24.04). On older systems keep using 1.2.1, it is still on the page.
Windows: 1.2.1 stays the current version for now. Please check the page now and then, because 1.2.1 does not tell you about new versions.
Thanks again to ianfontinell for the uploader!
