My utorrent isn't working....
-
so for like, the past week or so, I've been downloading torrents (only and on my phone) but all of the things I've been downloading have stalled to 16 years, some not even loading at all, some loading to a few Mbs. and all of these files are like 16+Gbs so I cherry pick of course, but I doesn't help.
Around Wednesday, I was able to download ONE video from a singular 22Gig file. idk if its my utorrent, bcs I even used an alternative site and also some older file that completely downloaded, earlier this month. but then I updated and downgraded the app and it still doesn't work.
is anyone going through the same thing?

little clarification, I can SOMETIMES download files smaller than 600Mbs and that's only if it's properly seeded or wtv

@dicluv I've had problems with utorrent recently on Android too, it never started downloading, I believe it is having issues with the file system, probably a permission issue, anyway I gave up on it and switched to Flud (way better)... and qBittorrent on Linux...
-
@dicluv The only way I could resolve this was to use a different tracker, in my case qbittorrent.
-
@diegom20 idk, I've tried every main torrenting app flud, qbit, Web, tube and a million others. utorrent is the only one that somewhat works and I REFUSE to use my laptop for this. I prefer easier access

@dicluv even i experience the same thing all torrents that i download was all in stalled status even changing clients

I'm the village idiot on most of this stuff...e.g., I've never put a torrent application on a phone. But on a desktop machine the new versions are often very buggy.
My Windows10 desktop has uTorrent 3.5.5, which seems reasonably stable. Version 3.4 is generally better from what I recall, but hard to find. Smart folk like @ianfontinell and/or @mrmazda likely have better and more applicable solutions.
In any event, thank you for being part of the gt.rent community, and even if they don't always/ever say it, we're glad you're here!

@eobox91103 Personally, if you're going to go beyond version 2.2.1 of uTorrent, I would recommend staying at 3.5.5. As of 3.6.0, there are some issues with compatibility with some systems, including ours.
Also, the only torrent client that I know of on an iOS device is iTransmission, and it s not free. This does not mean such apps do not exist, only that I have not heard of them

I was a devoted µTorrent user for years since v.1, as it became overgrown and bloated I continued using v.2.2.1 for years more but annoying issues such as yours kept popping up, finally, reluctantly switched to qBittorrent and been using it happily and trouble free for a number of years now.
