Everquest Legends

Anyone playing Everquest Legends?
It's essentially a single player version of Everquest; but you can still group if you want to. It has the original 99 graphics and effects with a modern UI. Your character is 3 classes, so you are your own trio; and you can merge loot together to keep pumping up the stats. It's really fun if you were in the golden age of MMOs era.
I'm playing on Halas.

I remember the early original EQ (when Verant still owned it, before the first expansion of Kunark). Having to do naked runs back to perilous places to retrieve your corpse and all your possessions before they decayed. Spent more time in Crushbone than I care to admit. I played that game for YEARS. And years more playing EQ2. I only just stopped playing EQ2 a couple years ago. Might have to look into this Legends. Just for nostalgic fun.
Just a quick edit... If you do plan to play Legends, you might want to view this helpful tutorial first:

Welp, that didn't last long. Already canceled my sub. Pretty sure the main dev and their goon squad have caused a considerable chunk of the base to leave. There was a lot of controversy over the initial launch being a bait and switch from the beta streams to the version of the game that was actually released, then how they've talked to everyone after the last two disastrous patches - referring to anyone complaining about the state of game as being "manpigs" or "manchildren". It was a fun version of the game; but there are just as fun emo servers out there that aren't run by people that actively hate the player base.

Yeah, patch days after every expansion have been historically disastrous. For every version of EQ. Sometimes lasting days, and then again a few days later. Without any or very little communication about when they plan to unlock the servers.
I also will most likely cancel my sub. More because I'm just not keen on starting over again. I can get the same nostalgia feeling, by taking my already existing high level characters, that I spent years leveling, back to familiar starting zones. Yes many of those zones have been revamped, but others remain exactly the same as I remember them.
Not to mention it feels like this iteration hasn't been fully fleshed out. It feels like there's chunk's missing, or overlooked. Which isn't surprising really, given it's not been out of beta for very long.

@Dracula975 Exactly there at the end. What they are calling "revamps" is really just them going through a zone/dungeon and changing the loot tables so that they line up with how the server works with motes and upgradable items. It's not a revamp, it's all stuff that should have been done before launching a product and calling it a release instead of a beta. I think they were just trying to capitalize on the take down of the THJ server and it's going to bite them in the arse in the end; because it's not like people that love EQ don't have a little patience
we've been playing the same game for 27 years. -
I canceled my Legends sub, and re-upped my All Access subscription. I find EQ2 way more enjoyable than the original EQ anyway. Easier to play. Easier to get from place to place. Better UI, and functionality. All around, just better thought out and implemented.
