Can't wait til a MOD comes in and shows a screencap of your downloads over that 24 hr period.

@Kevin4fm Hey I dont want to be disrespectful. I read what you said, but I didn't download those torrents. Can you tell me where I can see those files from my end.

From my end, I see only Screenshot 2026-08-25 152142.png. You see I downloaded only 2-6 on the past couple days. I just want to bring the issue NOT looking for a fight.

I'm pretty sure this is in fact not what he meant... Just further proving his point that you are very fucking confused. It's very easy to make a post complaining about something wrong but it usually requires you to investigate beforehand to confirm if what you are saying is true or if you're jumping to conclusions. And when there's a bunch of messages from other people trying to explain that you are wrong and just keep doubling down, that is also a very good sign that you have no idea of what's really happening and no apparent intention to learn.

Once again I'd like to remind everyone that it's not mandatory that you speak.

@ianfontinell If asking a straightforward question is now considered “complaining,” then you clearly missed the memo on forum's role. I was trying to understand what happened and how to resolve it. I certainly didn’t expect that asking for clarification would be met with the f*** word.

If your response to someone raising a question is to swear at them, then perhaps you missed a basic lesson in manners somewhere along the way in your elementary school. That was unnecessarily rude, and yes, it was hurtful.

Last time I check, I formed this forum with questions and address what happened. Then I asked how to check or what to do next. So it is a little ironic to be accused of being disrespectful when you and @pandammonia were the ones using abusive language. I asked a question. You chose to respond with insults. There is a difference.

@studcupid I apologize for the f word, I do use it hyperbolically, but I must admit that even without it, it was still rude and over the top, for which I am sorry... I'll just say that so far everyone in this thread have reinforced that the individual files inside each torrent don't count towards that limit, only each torrent file itself. Also, not a single mod has showed up so far, everyone here are just regular members, no one who said anything here has access to your download history to know when you downloaded what. Also, there isn't a feature to see which torrent files you have grabbed, the site only shows torrents after you finish downloading them, which is not necessarily helpful in your case. The "completed torrents" in this page sorts them by completion date by default, you can use it to make sure you recognize everything that appears there, and if you see torrents there that you didn't download you will need to reset your password and your passkey.

Once again I'd like to remind everyone that it's not mandatory that you speak.

@studcupid It's tricky because you haven't given us specifics. Can you please go to https://www.gaytor.rent/rationator.php and show us this section as it directly relates to why you may have problems:

                    ...not looking for a fight...

Me neither. I was just showing you that downloading 166 torrents in a day is perfectly possible, whether you're talking about .torrent files (which is what the number limit refers to) or the actual contents of each torrent.

You won't find those precise files listed anywhere because they're specific to me. They're just the randomly downloaded torrents I grabbed to demonstrate that it's easily possible. You're also very unlikely to find that view with different files. It's a screenshot of Nemo (a Linux version of File Explorer) not taken from somewhere on this site. So unless you use Linux as your OS, you won't have the app.

Other opinions are also available. They're not right, obviously, but they are available.

"gaytor.rent has a daily download limit, which is bound to your share ratio and amount of uploaded own torrents:

You downloaded 116 torrent(s) in the past 24 hours
You are allowed to download 115 torrent file(s) per day. This is based on your share ratio of 0.876 and 7 uploaded own torrent(s).
Add up to 50 extra parallel downloads per day with a DonationIndicates user has donated to the Site"

Any chance you have a download manager or something in your browser that might be going haywire? The text you quoted has the site claiming you clicked "Download" on 116 .torrent files in the past 24 hours.

It's of course also possible that the site has something going haywire, but as a random other user on the site all I can say is that I don't see it myself. https://www.gaytor.rent/helpdesk.php might help if no mods come along with a better solution.

I forget exactly what it was, but years ago when doing tech support (at work, not here) I ran into someone with some sort of download manager plugin that was basically clicking random links on the page as she browsed our site. It was clicking links like "Leave Group" or "Unfriend this user" behind the scenes and not showing her. We never did figure out why it was doing that, but it was. That sort of matches what you're seeing here: the site thinks you've downloaded 116 files, when you report only a handful of torrent files in your download folder.

It is of course possible that it's a problem with the site itself, but I wouldn't know anything about that. It shouldn't be counting files within a torrent, and isn't for me, but 🤷‍♂️ computers, man.

@blittle I didn't download that many files. I changed my email address and enabled two-factor authentication. Still, I could only download and run two torrents per day.

I went to pause in the past 5 days and today I found out that the system still told me thatI had reached the maximum because I already downloaded 123 torrent files in 24 hours, even though I was supposed to be able to download 116 torrents per day.

Isn't that funny? For some mysterious reason, when I was told that I was limited to downloading only 116 torrent files, the system still said that I had already downloaded 123 torrent files. Yet, none of them was on any records like completing download or even started downloading those files in my back-end torrent information.

@studcupid wow it's been more than 20 days and not a single mod has replied to this topic yet, they must be very busy!

i really don't know what's going on with your account but it could very well have been hijacked, the only thing i can suggest you is to have a look at this page: https://www.gaytor.rent/mysessions.php

click the button to kill all other sessions, and then go to this other page and reset your passkey:
                          https://www.gaytor.rent/my.php#sec-account

since you already use 2FA there's no need to change your password, but I would still do it.

an important note is that after resetting your passkey your seeding torrents will stop working, you'll need to update their tracker URLs to get them working again, depending on the client you use you can fix them all in one go.

Once again I'd like to remind everyone that it's not mandatory that you speak.

This is almost always caused by a download manager or other prefetch based add-on that actively looks at content that the current page links to in order to speed up your browsing. Although the files do not actually get downloaded, the prefetch of the content where links are involved generates a false positive for files, even when they have not been downloaded.

So you may want to check your browser extensions and add-ons to see if there are any that may be responsible for pulling page content ahead of it being clicked on by you as the user. If all else fails, try using a different browser for a few days to see if the problem goes away. If it does, then you can narrow it down to something about that browser specifically.
