Error message from sign up affiliate link

A friend of mine has been trying to sign up with my affiliate link and keeps getting this message: “Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /data/gt/shared/www/dev/include/boot/compat/misc.php on line 119“ Any suggestions to fix?
