      @ianfontinell-0 That's what I find to be againt the spirit of sharing on torrent.
      If you look at my profile's history you will see that is not about this torrent, this particular collection has several uploads throughout my history on this page, and it is because I took the time and effort to download every new file on this particular site and update the collection every so often.

      I am 100% sure I am the only user doing that with this collection on this page, so it's not about the health of this particular torrent but the continuity of this collection on this site.

      I don't get the fact that mods on this site don't care about torrent sharing's spirit but I do understand you're sticking to the rules and making no exceptions, but not allowing me to ask for some help on keeping a collection (not a torrent, a collection) alive on the site makes absolutely no sense to me.

        @leo2003 Can I just quickly check that I've got the right end of the stick here? You made a large collection, and when new material becomes available you add it to your existing collection on here, right?

        If so, that may actually be inefficient for downloaders. Speaking for myself, I tend to keep torrents going for as long as I practically can after downloading, but eventually they get edited down to remove stuff I don't like and moved to long-term storage or archived, and they get removed from my client if I don't see any upload traffic for a long time.

        If I then need to add that torrent again to grab the newer files it means I invariably end up grabbing loads of stuff that I've previously deleted, and it leaves me with a lot of work to go through it all again to curate it for my taste.

        Personally, I would much prefer uploaders to release an initial collection clearly marked with dates, such as "xxxxxxxxx OF rip up to March 2025." They can then release regular periodic updates in the form of "xxxxxxxxx OF rip April to June 2025" which would make it much easier for downloaders to maintain their own curated collection.

        @ianfontinell-0 raises another good point in his reply. I've been on the site for over 17 years, and currently stand at just over 10000 points. I doubt there are that many users on the site who have enough points to indulge such a request.

        Sorry if I've misunderstood anything.

          @frostycab I think you are right, and I totally agree. Is the whole "we don't allow this kind of thing" what bothered me. Why having a torrent site to go against the philosphy of sharing and by extention, helping those willing and happy to share?

            @leo2003

            We don't allow torrent requests, nor reseeed requests.

            If we allow your freeleech request, then we will have 10 million people asking for stuff to be freeleech.

            Currently, we only allow people to request "at risk" torrents to be made freeleech. We have a thread for this.

              @leo2003 one last thing, not to echo what was already said by staff and other members, but a practical solution to your case:

              even if your torrent has 110GB, downloading it would decrease your ratio, but you intend to add more stuff and re-upload it again (a behavior that is currently acceptable as per the site rules).

              So my take is, just download it, use your ratio, and when you re-upload it you will be back to where you were before.

                I may be missing something, but since you uploaded the original torrent but lost files and upload the updates too, it sounds like you downloaded from a site and still have access to site - can you not re-download from the source site?

                  @OKCancel-0 Sure thing... But you're missing the point, I'm not trying to download porn, I am trying to share a collection and the mods have the empowerment to help me do that and generate this freeleach (they actualy confirmed this a couple a messages before).

                  I don't get why this torrent site uses mods that have absolutely no interest in the torrent community growth, but I sure won't use my ratio points to share with other users if this site itself is not interested in that.

                    So, while the mods show no interest in the torrent's sharing spirit I should use my own points to help the community grow?

                    Again, mods have the tools and power to solve this without me losing anyhting and they just don't care, I won't either

                      @leo2003

                      Your upload is 104.xx gb and has 26 seeders and 9 leechers, at the moment.

                      It is not "at risk", currently.

                      People are still downloading it despite it not being freeleech.

                          @raphjd Either way, it's been years since I am the only one updating this collection every few months and it's a very popular collection with several completed downloads each time, I won't give this another minute of attention, again, maybe someone will take over for me, but I really doubt it, it's a lot of work and then you get answered with such disregard by the people who was supossed to hekp this community grow... There's no point in arguing about it anymore.

                          I would love for this site to have mods who understand torrent sharing, clearly it is not the case.

                          Bye
