[Software Release] GayTor.rent Upload Utility

@mrsean said in [Software Release] GayTor.rent Upload Utility:
I am having the exact same issue with version 18 running on Windows 10. Virus & Threat Protection says that nothing has been blocked.
I got the program to run on Windows 11 on a different computer but I'd still like to know why it will not launch correctly on Windows 10.
-
@mrsean I use W10 and it works fine. Maybe there could be a hint in the Event Log but without being able to replicate the issue it's hard to assess.
-
@ianfontinell-0 That's basically what the verification process does. It checks if the upload attempt is successful (it checks by trying to download the uploaded torrent). Although I guess the message is kind of misleading, I will try to refine the uploading process.
-
@mrsean The logs stop right after "Checking for updates" and the program crashes?
If this is not the case could you share the logs? They can be found at%APPDATA%/guu/log.txton Windows.
I'll do some more testing to see if I can replicate it. -

Yeah. The logs end right at "Checking for updates" which is the same as the other guy I quoted. -

I'm having trouble uploading. Program doesn't accept my credentials, any suggestions?
-
@RiBu22 I believe its a new glitch, so i think we just have to wait for an update
-
@RiBu22 I'm having the same issue.
The error log says, “Could not login: 404.”
Since the official website is currently undergoing a redesign, I think it's possible that this software isn't able to access the authentication page.
As monemoneymon pointed out, I'm hoping for an update. -
@RiBu22 @monemoneymon @boizjungle Hi there, thanks for reporting this. Although I can't seem to reproduce this on my computer right now. Does this still happen?
Make sure that in the settings you have specified the domain as gaytor.rent as the old domain is not working I believe. -

Had the same issue with QTM, the categories alway appear like this?
Picking one at random, I'm also getting the error 'The uploaded torrent could not be verified.' -
Never mind, worked it out I think
Reload categories haha -
Oof I am beating my brains with this...
I'm a user of QBitTorrent.
I tried to follow the Upload Guide and use the manual approach. I'm pretty sure I followed the directions but my torrent never seeded.
I was about to post in the forums but I saw this thread about the GUU. Everything seemed to work fine... logged in, uploaded torrent. Linked up QBit. After creating the torrent, it automatically loaded on to QBit and it also is showing under my profile.
It says it's "seeding" in QBit but it's not visible under Browse. Not sure what else needs to be done.
-
I think I might have figured it out.
On my profile, my "Announce URL" is starting as: http://tracker.gaytorrent.tw:2710/..../announce
But when I compared the tracker on QBit, it was uploaded with a slightly different link--I can't remember it now but it was different.
I changed the tracker in QBit to match what's on my profile and it looks like it's seeding now and "Working" under the Trackers tab.
-
I downloaded the new GayTor.rent Upload Utility and having problems getting logged into it. I reset my password and I still get this.

-
@kurtiscub Whats the work around?
-
@vancer For me until now only work with the old domain (.ru) and selected Tools gaytorrent.ru . GUU v18 latest version download github.
-
Hi everyone, it seems that some recent changes to the website have affected the functionality of GUU. Although after a chat I had with the website owner about it, he told me that he will not be supporting third party applications in the future (like GUU) so there is no way for me to know the changes on the backend to update my program to reflect them.
As such GUU will not receive any further updates in the future.
The source code will continue to be available on GitHub (https://github.com/vancer0/guu-cpp) under the GPL-2.0 license, so if any other developers wish to fork it and update it they are more than welcome to do so. -
@centexhank me too. did you figure out how to fix it?
-
@Urdadcallzme Currently it's not possible to use GUU, the new site is being pushed by default and it has a cloudflare captcha that cannot be bypassed, the application can no longer get into your account.
For the mean time, you can upload your torrents directly from the new site's upload page.
-
To clear this up from my side: GUU stopping is not a glitch. Third-party apps can no longer log in to the new site — and for security reasons that will stay this way. I'm sorry, vancer built a genuinely useful tool, and the thanks for that stands.
The good news: the new QTM is only days away — and it's no longer an upload form, it's a full client:
- macOS, Windows (ARM too) and Linux — a single executable, no dependencies, runs instantly. Self-installing EXE like the good old QTM 1.3 — with automatic updates
- The whole site, right inside QTM — browse, search, forum, browser-style detail tabs. Click download and it just starts. Never touch a .torrent file again.
- A full torrent client built in — pause/resume, categories and tags, your list survives restarts; runs in the tray if you like, with auto-start, notifications, a bandwidth scheduler and a watch folder
- Torrents from other sites work too — QTM can be your only client
- Import from qBittorrent, Transmission, µTorrent and Vuze — move your existing torrents over without a recheck
- Upload in one go — drag & drop your pictures, and QTM creates the rest itself: media info (resolution, length, codec), preview pictures pulled straight from the video, and a mini preview clip (10 scenes × 2 seconds — the kind you know from the big sites). Upload queue with retries instead of "error = everything gone"
- RSS reader with auto-download rules
- Secure login with 2FA support — private-tracker etiquette out of the box
- 27 languages, a dark 2026 design, a command palette, an account dashboard with ratio gauge and live stats
And that's just the base version. A taste of what comes after: the site's grid view starts moving with those auto-created clips. And if you download with QTM, it helps fill in missing info on older torrents as it goes — and you earn points for it.
Until then, the site's upload page does the job.
