It is not always easy to figure out if someone under 30 is pretending to be female is actually an XY trans. Things such as cosmetics, hairstyles, jewelry, and clothing can disguise one's true gender. Males of that age don't always have noticeable Adam's Apples, so that is not reliable. Tits are not reliable, because a lot of real females have virtually no tits, while a lot of fake females have what could pass for tits by having implants and hormones.
I am no expert on this, but from my research so far, it looks like REAL females have some curves in their abdomen, as a result of their hips widening to accommodate childbirth or taking cocks as huge as Tommy Lee's or a straight version of RaphJD.
I know of a person who I am 99.9% sure is actually male, pretending to be a female. The one thing that strikes me as being quite male is that he/she has no curves whatsoever. Also, the he/she is not obese, YET has quite a bit of abdominal flab.
Does that look like a 5'10 17 year old female? -

@eobox91103 matters tremendously to me, because my best friend is being conned into giving up all his lifelong friends, not just me, and his job by this evil con-artist.
Since 40% of trans people attempt suicide EVERY YEAR, they are obviously insane and quite self-centered. By trans I am referring to biological men who have decided they are women. WOMEN should be outraged by this.

This is certainly a matter of concern, independent of gender identity issues. Perhaps you can make an affirmative effort to stay a friend with your friend in spite of the forces that seem to be taking him away from you--perhaps with invitations to drinks, lunch, dinner, sports events, or whatever common interests you might have.

This does not seem to be true. If we do an internet search on "suicide among trans people" and the first scholarly paper to come up is Indian J Psychol Med. 2016 Nov-Dec; 38(6): 505–509. (doi: 10.4103/0253-7176.194908) which states, in part,
- The suicide attempt rate among transgender persons ranges from 32% to 50%
This is over their lifetimes, not within a given year.
Please let us know how this turns out. It is always very sad to lose a "best friend," and I can unfortunately say that from personal experience.

@eobox91103 Incredibly, it is 40% EVERY YEAR. I know of one that attempts suicide EVERY YEAR at roughly Christmastime. It's name is Nina (Rodney) Arsenault and is fairly well known in Canada.
HOWEVER, I would add something significant. With the number of trans dying as a result of suicide or murder, they have a very low life expectancy, So I would assume that this chart means that roughly 40% of trans between the ages of 15 and 45 are attempting suicide. The rest are not because they are too young to attempt it, or dead. That is MY guess.
