Studios often hold back on releasing videos at the end of the year, because they want their video to have the new year date on them. For instance, if they had a movie called "Pastors with 10" Peckers pounding Altar Boys" ready to release in December 2023, they would like to delay it's release until Jan 2024 to get the 2024 label on it.
