Indie pop is a very generic term that might mean one thing to you, something else to me, and something different in ten different ways to ten other people.

I think of indie pop as alternative music that has a popular bent/twist. In other words, it could cross over. There's some Pet Shop Boys non-single cuts, b-sides and even some single releases that aren't dance and aren't really hi-energy electronica that I would quantify as indie pop personally, and some that have crossed over: Being Boring is a perfect example, IMHO, as is the more recent Home & Dry.

Kitchens of Distinction, The Beloved, Frazier Chorus and Saint Etienne are other examples of what I would consider alternative artists who can make a song that crosses over (although KOD barely so).

You need to post some songs or artist that you think qualify and hope to get a response that way, pal.

MUNA, No Frills Twins, Allie X
(Tho not sure if they squarely fit into your "indie pop" definition)
