      To be fair, I just disabled my VPN, and I'm still having the same stalling issues...

        It's not uncommon for the latest version of an app to cause problems when installed on older devices. Sometimes newer versions of apps may not work with your device due to system incompatibilities. Until the app developer has fixed the problem, try using an older version of the app.

          @honesteagle being honest with you, the most effective way to increase your ratio is uploading your own torrents. It doesn't have to be anything unique or rare, you could for instance make of selection of videos following a specific theme and make a compilation. Or you could also upload your own content if you're into it.

          Depending on seeding other people's torrents is very risky. Most of the times their content already is consolidated, lots of people have downloaded them already so the demand is low, and in cases where you have a low demand and a high offer, you are less likely to be the one selected to seed.

          I mean, you might download freeleech stuff with the sole purpose of seeding them, but they are so popular that despite the high amount of people downloading them, there also are so many people just seeding.

          Before downloading a torrent, check their stats: 50453794-aa9c-4f9a-b816-73c6fbd78ea6-image.png

          The examples above are all freeleech, there will always be someone downloading. But look at the seeders number. 376 seeders for 1 people downloading, if you have downloaded it you're just another seeder the swarm.

          ====As of your stalled torrent====
          Check the stats, see if there are enough active seeders. If it does, then you are being blocked from downloading by the rationator system. When your ratio drops too much you are only allowed to download 2 torrents at a time.

          Check your uploading/downloading stats:
          ff064dbe-756a-4d29-b3a0-5b30292eb8dc-image.png

          If you are NOT downloading anything except for the stalled torrent, your downloading arrow must show 1 torrent only. If there are more, that means you are seeding torrents that you have not fully downloaded.

          Try pausing all of your torrents other than the stalled one and it's likely to start downloading if there are enough seeders.

            @ianfontinell Thanks for the advice! I really appreciate it!

            At the moment, the torrents that are stalled are only the ones I'm uploading -- they're all successfully downloaded, so that shouldn't be the problem.

            I've tried with and without my VPN, with qBittorent and uTorrent, and no upload movement at all. I'm quite close to fixing my ratio -- and I've never had a problem with it before -- so I'm hoping I can just eek by somehow.

              @honesteagle I thought your stalled torrents were torrents you are yet to download, didn't occur to me that you already completed them.

              Check your qbittorrent settings:
              81f707d0-2c33-4fc0-a84c-4cd28baf28ba-image.png

              Make sure your torrent queueing is properly set up so that you can have a higher number of active torrents. You can set everything to 999 or just disable torrent queueing altogether.

              On qbittorrent it's normal to have completed torrents going stalled when they are not paused but are still unable to seed due to user settings.

                @ianfontinell

                This is what I have for my settings:

                9768e8c4-1001-46be-92d4-937c9a1e5c9b-image.png

                a57ee49d-3b9e-4467-91b6-2c7f44227d5b-image.png

                All global rates are infinite.

                The strange thing here is that for two nights, the torrent uploaded fine -- about 8 GB each night! Then all of a sudden, all this stalling... and I didn't change any settings, etc.

                Anything look wonky up there?

                  @ianfontinell Also, it seems I can upload to torrents on other sites -- the speed isn't fast, but it's at least something! (The stalled tracker for gaytor.rent are flat at 0.)

                  Do you know if there's something gaytor.rent could be doing to block me from uploading? Maybe because my ratio's bad?

                    @honesteagle The tracker never blocks you from uploading.

                    59cefe8d-f353-47fd-8f9d-b41966e421e7-image.png Check if your torrents are properly connecting to the tracker, if it says "working" then everything is going as expected.

                    09887882-4d8d-4f88-956f-518b8b89d5a9-image.png

                    When everything is working as expected it's supposed to look like this. It says "seeding" even when there's no one actively downloading from you. If when you say "stalled" you mean this, then everything is normal. If you have, let's say 200 torrents being seeded the normal behavior is to have one or two torrents with the status "active" every now and then:

                    a3c3c136-0eaf-4bf2-b767-98f300308923-image.png

                    The more torrents you have the more likely you are to always be uploading at least one torrent for most of the time your client is up and running. That's just how torrents work, specially in private trackers.

                      @ianfontinell Hmm... maybe things are working as expected, then. I need to upload another 800 MB in like ten days to fix my ratio... wish me luck!

                      And thanks for all your help!

                        I had same problem last year. .ru and other sites. I blame Nord VPN, but qBitorrent was bad. When I have uninstalled and deleted all traces of it, reinstalled, it works again.

                          @honesteagle 800MB is really easy to get if you just upload your own torrent, you should definitely do it. If you upload a 1GB compilation and a single person download it, you have fixed your ratio already.
