no wonder I couldn't find most of SC's recent stuff, now it all makes sense. Thanks for all the info, I hope this passes soon and we get back to normal.

Keep in mind, the rapid takedowns we're mainly talking about aren't from some of the niche studios.
There are a handful of studios per category and clip sites that have ALWAYS taken their things down within a few hours and from ALL sites not just this one.

What we're talking about is a higher number of mass reports towards fansites that has grown into random take downs of anything new for 6-12 hour periods per day.

@krad3434 I beginning to this that the site has been giving a blanket takedown notice so mod(s) are just removing anything they come across?

There's a straight OF torrent that has been up longer than most OF torrents. You don't see it unless you have the straight torrent section unhidden.

@eobox91103 Those definitely look fresh and sumptuously delicious. Just a bit of a joke on your donut pic, I found this on Google image search.

Gone are the Donuts! (Hey! I just looked at another browser tab for a second here and... WTF! Where the hell did those donuts go?)

I see people are starting to upload OF files with random titles (no mention of actors' names). So frustrating. I'm not downloading this because I need names attached to my videos lol

@forthepaul Yes, it died down a great deal after I posted that screenshot, but today it is back with a vengeance. Here's a new screenshot. All these torrents were made freeleech within the last 12 hours, and yet half are already dead. They have nothing in common with each other, and there's no way a DMCA complaint could result in a takedown in that short of time anyway.

Something nefarious is going on.Screenshot (7).jpg

It seems to be heavily based on day of the week and time of day when the take downs happen.

I can't seem to figure out if there was a giant blanket takedown notice given, but seeing as how freeleeches are being removed years later I figure the fansite category would just be removed with a new rule added if that were the case. This site does have a do not post list.

I have even with the massive seemingly random takedowns noticed proper dupes and rule breaks removed, but usually those pages mention where the other torrent is vs the "no longer available" the others say.

Another funny note, I do have the straight category on. if its MG i think it's being done through an account lol, because by default straight isn't on for every member.

There are full site rips of one of MGs biggest studios for the last 6 months just plainly there.

@MrMazda @kalayaan btw is it possible to send a message to the uploader the reason of deleting the content so the uploader doesnt have to guess what happend. like deleted koz of DMCA, Copyright, etc... UA should be a ban or a warning

@jokuihmemies Generally this is done when mods remove a torrent. If it is a dupe, they'll get a message saying that it's been confirmed to be a dupe. If it's a DMCA take down, they'll also get a message as such.

There are a handful of other reasons why a torrent may get deleted. Generally, mods do message the uploader to let them know WHY the torrent is being removed.

Even with my ratio I had to giggle when I saw a 267 gig torrent uploaded. of course it was removed. I wanted some of it but no file naming, no thumbnails lol.

I'm guessing there's nothing to be done but hope the reporting dies down again, if not I guess just whatever files the reporters decide have the fortune of sticking around.

I know it has already been discussed but I saw this in action today. Someone free-leeched an OF torrent that was shared a few months ago and it was taken down after a few hours. I still think a blanket notice has been issued. Anything uploaded prior to the issue of the takedown notice is safe unless someone free-leech it. so sad!

That being said, how long do you guys let a torrent sit if there are unfinished files?? I think the OP for Dalton Cody has given up seeding and I'm stuck at 95.3%

Why do freeleeches seem bit by this, especially?

As seed points accumulate I like to "give back" by freeleeching things out for the community. Always picking things with

                                  • years of prior existence
                                  • no underage
                                  • not a duplicate torrent (though as we know, different uploaders may package a file across varying collections)
                                  • no banned studio / always a studio commonly found on the site

Next day, the thing I freeleeched out for people has vanished. Yesterday's good search no longer finds it. Not always...but more than once. & more recently.

Wtf? Am I the last to understand that freeleeching it out is a kiss of death / makes it a special target? & why would it?

Also it would sure be less mysterious if, instead of vanishing, the deactivated torrent stayed visible in a state like "Deactivated, reason xyz".

@blablarg18 Sadly no normal members have all the answers.

We're just kind of watching it happen and all have our theories.

Unfortunately due to the nature of the site and these being (legitimate or not) DMCA claims we aren't really allowed in the "discussion". We just see the effects it has.

The freeleech being targeted is interesting and weird for sure.

I'll add a little correction. it's not exactly the freelech - ing torrents that are targeted. If something from years ago is just freeleeching it's safe.
It's the BUMPED up torrents that receive the death sentence. You know the ones that now have the recycle icon next to their names, appear on front page and have the original upload date underneath them.
The sad ironic thing is the bumping up and freeleeching happens when there is usually lack of content. there is lack of content because like 70% of all uploads are deleted now. But once the old torrent are bumped up to the front they are also deleted.
So in this rate the website will delete everything by the next year if this doesn't stop. Only mediocre chaturbate videos will remain and all the good uploaders will leave.

@forthepaul Fair viewpoint...... but just fyi.... yesterday i literally freeleeched an old, NOT bumped-up torrent....one that happened to be old & that's all, nothing else special about it....and this morning it was deleted.

                                          This gets stranger and stranger...

I recently freeleeched an old torrent that I uploaded a long time ago--it was dead, and I thought it was a good one, so I wanted to give it some new life.

It was not promoted to the top of the search list with a recycle icon, which I thought was SOP for freeleech torrents...and I was concerned that it wouldn't have any visibility. Nevertheless, very soon quite a few users found it and successfully downloaded it. And, it hasn't been deleted...so freeleeching is not always the kiss of death.

I am reminded of what Nobel winning physicist Richard Feynman once said: "The Universe is not as strange as we imagine; it's stranger than we can imagine."

@eobox91103 yes. I had a freeleech-out last week, where it was fine / didn't end up deleted.

To me, it seems to happen to about 1/3 of both my freeleech-outs and freeleeches that i download.
