The forum is Coming Back…....

The decision to bring back the forum was made last night
and this is the only Board active just now. However,The Staff is working to bring back as much of the Forum as possible ASAP. Please bear with us during this time frame. Feel free to add your opinions on which Boards you would like to see restored to this thread. It will certainly help the Staff make future decisions regarding the Forums. :thx: -

I wasn't a member when the forums were previously active, but was there a threads for Invites to other forums in which you could give away or request?

Im so glad you decided to bring the forums back - i think the people who voted on the poll weren't here long enough to remember nor appreciate the forum.

Add my name to the list of those glad to see the forums return, I know the majority of users just silently lurk and that is fine, but I do enjoy some interaction, the subjects discussed here aren't things I can normally bring up in the company lunchroom. ;D

I am wondering how far back the forums should be recovered (assuming all the old posts can be recovered?) also there may be an option to archive posts that are older than a certain date to save space by having them compressed? Or do we have sufficient server resources so this isn't necessary? For my own posting behaviour, I very rarely go back to very old posts but less frequent posters may have a different view of things? This is a good opportunity to review all this or perhaps already being considered?

We don't face storage space issues. It is rather a question of inspecting the history to avoid unwanted content (e.g. banned studio pictures etc …) and to find moderators for the different old sections.
