New here. Ratio not improving

I've just uploaded my first torrent using the quicktorrentmaker app and everything went smooth as far as i could tell. The file was posted and is visible and currently seeding. However, my ratio is still the same as before and my upload rate hasn't gone up at all. I don't know what seems to be the problem. Can someone help pls?
