The site owner has decided not to allow requests anywhere on the site.

@raphjd So just out of curiosity, is there even a sliver of hope of the request section coming back? Theres some content Id like to get my hands on but I dont quite know where else to ask other than here

@Fennekin Actually, it's quite the opposite of sketchy. There were legal reasons behind it being necessary in order to not just protect the site owner, but also protect our users.
While it may seem a little strange or like it would be counter productive, most changes that have come to the site in recent times have been for the protection of our staff and users alike.

@MrMazda Being the BEST at anything, has the effect of being the biggest target of the haters. One example of that is the greatest president the USA ever had gets attacked incessantly in the media.
This site is the best of it's kind, and there are only 3 other sites that are even close. A LONG time ago, this site was being attacked with so many DDOS attacks and legal threats that the site owner shut it down for months. Frankly, if I were him, I would SELL this site - but I am not sure than anybody could afford it. Hmm.. Elon Musk just paid $44 billion for Twitter, so this site must be worth about $100 billion! I still wonder why content produced and posted by known members of this site, is removed for fake DMCA reasons. Lars Ulrich must be trolling gay sites. -
The Torrent Request section was like Heart and Soul of the forum. The last comment on this topic was in late 2022.
This is 2023. Has by any chance are we allowed to request for torrent anywhere on the site such as comment section, torrent description, and or any part of the forum?
The site owner could choose not to index the website to search engines. So, this might lead to lesser people from the web know about GT. -
Requests are banned anywhere on the site and in the forums.
1st offense = 7 day ban
2nd offense = 30 day ban
3rd offense = perma-ban

The site owner made the decision to change this.
As I understand it, this is based in a change in the law.
