          Aaaw I so didn't expect this info, was so sweet from you. I'm a vet myself. There's two things that can kill dogs and cat really fast.

          1. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Like ibuprofen, acetaminophen, aspirin, etc. Human doses are lethal for our pets. And be really careful when you get the vetdrugs, because they're flavoured (chewable) so your pets may eat them all at once.

          2. Used condoms. You just can not immagine how many pets have to go through surgery because people doesn't toss condoms properly…

          Those where my two cents, hope they help 🙂

            It's the seeds that are toxic to dogs and cats.  They can flush the toxins from their system, but like with humans, it takes a while to do it.

            Grapes themselves, in high amounts, can cause diarrhea, which in turn can cause dehydration.  This can happen from pretty much any fruit, especially the soft types.

                    Thats a very informative post. I knew about dogs and chocolate, but had no idea about cats and plants. I have a cat, and I bought him some kind of fast growing grass that he loves. Its sold in pet shops. Here in Argentina is called "cat grass" 😛

                        @raphjd:

                        On another forum I belong to I read a thread about a person's cat dieing from Lily pollen, though any part of the Lily plant can kill a cat.

                        Here's a site that lists some of the plants that can kill dogs;

                        http://www.angel-litemaltese.com/Poison.htm

                        Also note that chocolate and onions can kill a dog.  In the UK they estimate that 150 dogs die every year around christmas because of chocolate.

                        Here is a list from Britishcats.co.uk;

                        thank you
