@stam8 I use a Synology DS1821+ but any of the consumer Synology NASes will work - https://www.synology.com/en-us/products?tower=ds_j%2Cds_plus%2Cds_value%2Cds_xs. They don’t come with drives installed, they are compatible with almost all 3.5” drives. Mine has 8 slots, I started with two drives and added more as I needed the space. You can also replace drives with bigger ones without losing any data. This mean you can constantly add space until it’s filled with the largest possible drives.

They run Docker which means you can run your BitTorrent client on the NAS, it’s fast and runs 24/7.

Lots of helpful posts here - https://www.reddit.com/r/synology/

I have 8 TB and I was beginning to think that I had a problem, but I feel a lot better knowing that I'm not alone 🤣

So far 6 hard drives of 1 TB each full and a 7th on it's way. My biggest fear is to see gaytor.rent getting down one day for whatever reason so in a way I am preparing for that day...

I started downloading and saving movies and scenes since 2009/2010 I really do not remember how many Terabytes I've stored. In the beginning I used 1TB HD then 2TB, 4TB, 6TB, 8TB and in the last 2 years I store the staff in 12TB HD

@stam8 I’d start on YouTube, take a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72gKksBe16c. The nice thing about Synology is you get phone, chat and email support, it’s pretty good. Because you get support and specialized hardware Synology is the expensive option.

If you want something that will work and be less expensive you can use something Open Source (free!) that runs on a regular computer with attached drives. Take a look at -

                            TrueNAS - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjLaK8yQAag
                            Rockstor - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McU8ctQFF4Y

50 TB WD NAS, 12 TB WD MyBook, 10TB WD MyBook, and 5 TB Seagate One Touch.

Porn? That's an odd one because I have full-length films on my NAS and I've used 6TB so far. Then, I have a nice variation of single porn clips on one of the WD MyBooks and I think that's 2 TB? I will not delete anything with Boomer Banks, but I do delete full-length films that I no longer care for. However, if it's a retired porn star, I will always keep it. Yeah, I'm perverted, but I like to download music, television series, and movies, for the most part, to avoid paying for Apple TV+, Hulu, Paramount Plus, HBOMax, or Netflix subscriptions, lol!

                                Soapbubble ... POP!

3 TB and i think 4 TB would be more than enough, actually being strict and excluding hoarding 2 TB is enough

Too many Tera! More than 10. I kept searching and downloading, But now I've given up on it, so I only keep the ones that have the characters I like in black socks!

@MrMazda It's not that CUTE because it's more than 10T, certainly not 30T, and I've been with my boyfriend for 17 years, and he doesn't know

I have over 200TB (about 207TB) on NAS and several external hard drives.

At least 2/3rds is porn, and the rest is non-porn.

For ages, I've been working on tidying up everything but without a defined naming convention, it's hard to keep up with all the porn since everyone seems to name things in their own way.

@raphjd not to mention that the studios also cooperate and either rename themselves, buy them out, or just belong together, so you never know when which one is listed twice on your "storage"...
I've been deleting other things lately because they're unmanageable, and I've also kept hetero porn, but if I'm not exactly in love with that actor, then I'll keep it at most if he's wearing black socks
