Hi DandyLion - Good luck on your training! This is my FAV torrent site (I belong to 3)! Glad you're volunteering to keep things good/make things better!
Most "Staff" (other than @raphjd on the politics boards) seem keep a very low profile - it might be interesting to have a staffer who mingles with us commoners

I always try to be in touch with the normal users, I've been a member of this site for YEARS so I'm glad to be helping keeping it pristine.
