      Hi Guys,

It's that time of the year again and World AIDS Day is just around the corner.

The theme for World AIDS Day 2011 is 'Getting to Zero'. After 30 years of the global fight against HIV/AIDS, this year the global community has committed to focusing on achieving 3 targets:

"Zero new HIV infections. Zero discrimination. Zero AIDS-related deaths".

In 2010, there were 2.7 million new HIV infections and 1.8 million people died from AIDS.  Moreover, in 2011 people living with HIV were still subject to restrictions on their travel and/or stay in 47 countries, territories and areas.

The statistics show that one in 20 gay men are now infected with HIV nationally with one in 11 in London.
Health Protection Agency figures published today.

So hXXp://www.worldaidsday.org/about-hiv.php Be Aware - by knowing your status and the facts about HIV
And http://www.worldaidsday.org/act-aware.php Act Aware - by simply wearing a red ribbon or joining the GTN Team at hXXp://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/research/faah/overview.do World Community Grid to FightAIDS@Home
