      @bi4smooth

You didn't talk about why they are worse in 2021 than in 2020, you twat.

      You are a DNC whore.

As always, you will do anything to deflect away from your BFF being a fucking liar and idiot.

Dude - you totally miss the forest for the trees here!

I'm beginning to think you really ARE just plain stupid

Let me spell it out for you:

The fact that the number of deaths in 2020 (you like to say they overcounted these numbers) was higher than in 2021 DOES NOT HELP!

In 2020, when there were no vaccines, the deaths were (it can be reasonably assumed) generally equal among Republicans and Democrats - we were ALL dying, pretty much at the same rate.

In 2021, when there have STARTED to be vaccines, the deaths are stilting more and more at Republicans - because we're the ones refusing the vaccines!

Let's make those REAL NUMBERS... let's generalize that 50% of the dead were registered voters with a party affiliation. I'll do the math step-wise because I know statistics and arithmetic aren't your strong suit (academically, I think fiction writing may have been your only strong suit!)

      • In 2020, with about 352,000 dead total, and half are Partisan Voters: that's 176,000 dead partisan voters
        (352,000 divided by 2 is 176,000).
Divide them evenly between the parties:
        -- That's about 88,000 dead Republicans
        -- That's about 88,000 dead Democrats
      • In 2021, with about 372,000 dead total, and half are Partisan Voters: that's 186,000 dead partisan voters
        (372,000 divided by 2 is 186,000).
However, now about 80% of those are Republicans who refuse the vaccines:
        -- That's about 148,800 dead Republicans
        -- That's about 37,200 dead Democrats

Now, I admit that with the new voting laws in some States, about 40,000 of those dead Republicans will still be allowed to vote in 2022... but the math still ain't pretty.

Tell me again how we're "winning" here? How is this good for Republicans?

You are a totally clueless twat.

        You are supporting my claim.

In 2020, the counting was far worse than now by counting anyone who tested positive and later died, regardless of the cause, counts as a covid death.

In 2020, we had no vaccine.

In 2021, we tightened up the way we counted covid death. It went from EVER, to within 9 months, to 6 months, to 4 weeks.

In 2021, we had the vaccines.

You are, without a doubt, fighting a straw man.

What the fuck does the shit you are talking about have to do with what I'm talking about?!

I guess your Chinese handlers won't let you actually respond to the topic.

Yes - I am using your own numbers - because they support my claim... which is to say that I read MORE into the numbers - your numbers (which I don't necessarily agree are correct, but I'm taking at face value because they support my analysis too!) - to come to the conclusion that this is hurting US (Republicans) way - WAY - WAY more than it's hurting the Democrats!

Did the parable of the seatbelt not drive home the point?

YAY! (????) Biden is doing a great job of preventing Democrats from dying of COVID-19 by getting them vaccinated quickly.... but, record numbers of Republicans are dying from it... so the overall numbers are even worse than last year! Great! (really - IS that great? For who, other than the MOST CYNICAL Democrat you could imagine!)

Biden sucks at saving Republicans from COVID-19 - and that's awesome news? For us?

But, oh by the way, the reason he sucks so bad at saving Republicans from COVID-19 is because we refuse to take the vaccines? I ask again:

Just where is this GOOD for us? (as Republicans)

(Look, I understand this is too complicated for @raphjd to grasp - but there are OTHER readers out there... silent ones... who DO get it!

PLEASE: Convince your Republican friends and neighbors that it's time to get the shot! Nearly a BILLION doses have been given world-wide... they aren't experimental, they aren't killing people, they ARE indeed fully FDA approved, and they DO work! They are not perfect - there is no guarantee that the vaccine will protect you personally 100% of the time... but no prior vaccine ever has been, so why is this any different? Play the odds - WITH the shot, the odds become in your favor!

If they're as implacable as @raphjd, don't get mad, but don't stop trying, either! Lives are at risk... needlessly)

Clearly, you have an agenda and that's not to talk about the actual topic. Ask your Chinese masters to allow you to stop looking like a total twat and let you respond to the actual topic.

NOTE: Only the Pfizer shot is FDA approved unless I missed something.

The topic was the numbers of COVID-19 deaths, no? Or was there some hidden Russian agenda in there.

              Your analysis:

              • 2021 is bigger than 2020.
              • Biden is bad.

              My analysis:

              • 2021 is bigger than 2020.
              • the circumstances have changed. It's not the same virus. (And I don't just mean Delta)
              • It's not attacking (at least not successfully) the same people. It's not just older people & sick (already) people.
              • The demographics of who are dying are becoming shockingly PARTISAN.
              • .. and MY side of the political spectrum is the side losing people!

See! Our analysis is equally spot on when you STOP where you did... all I did is look deeper!

Sorry if I hurt your feelings - but my people (Republicans) are dying out here, and I don't care it highlighting that hurts your precious feelings.

NOTE: Only the Pfizer shot is FDA approved unless I missed something.

That is true - though, just as when you kept harping on Pfizer not being fully approved yet, the FDA itself has said there is nothing in its way but bureaucratic paperwork.

Shocker: official approval won't change anything "boots-on-the-ground-wise" -- even here in the US! Not the price, availability, use, application, effectiveness... nope... nothing changes except that Moderna gers its FIRST EVER vaccine fully FDA approved. THAT is why this is taking longer than Pfizer: Moderna has never done this before!

For What Its Worth: the J&J approvals are about as far along as Moderna's - but there is something new about J&J's: a test with a J&J booster (on top of a J&J initial shot) taken 6-months after initial dose is showing the hightest-yet level of antibodies. They don't know why yet, but it's promising news for people who got the J&J vaccine initially!

Are you and Hunter snorting the same sprinkle cheese from the carpet?

I think I saw you in those pictures with the Biden's on AF2 during your influence-peddling tours.

Awww.... you found me out! I'm actually NOT a computer scientist living in Florida... REALLY, I'm a high-level presidential advisor, assigned to troll you - because you are a primary source of damaging information for our Administration, and we (the President and the NSC) need to keep tabs on you!

                  Yeah - that's the ticket!

@raphjd In 2020 the pandemic was smaller at first. It only first began to hit harder in the second half of 2020. In 2021 the virus mutated to the more infectious delta variant, and because it infects so many more people, then so many more dies. In the first half of 2021 there were not so many that were vaccinated as compared to the second half, and the total number is still low compared to other western countries especially if you look at republican run states. And with so low number of
vaccinated people in republican states and they also refuss to wear masks, then the pandemic has every possibility to run wild as we see now.

Those countries, which dealt good with the pandemic in 2020, they have mostly into 2021 with a low covid19 pandemic. There are no magic, but only hard work from the people, but some people refuss do the hard work.

                      @serenity

I'm fully vaccinated for my age group, in Scotland. Sometime in the next month or so I will no longer be fully vaccinated because the rules keep changing.

I don't know the political leanings breakdown in vaccinations, between liberals and conservatives. I do know that there is a racial breakdown across the "western" countries. Whites are getting vaccinated at greater rates than non-whites. From memory, US blacks are vaccinated at about 38%, which is the worst vaccinated group in the US. It's the same in the UK and Europe.

                      Back to the topic.

In the US, Scotland, and other places, the death rate in 2020 was artificially inflated due to the liberal leaders putting infected people into nursing homes. Scotland, like New York and others, lied about it and undercounted the deaths from C-19 in the nursing homes.

This is the polar opposite of the way they counted every other "C-19 death". As I pointed out in an earlier post, anyone who ever had or tested positive for C-19 and later died of any cause was classed as a C-19 death. This artificially inflated the C-19 death numbers for 2020.

It wasn't until 2021 that they started to restrict, in a semi-honest way how they count C-19 deaths.

In 2020, if I ever tested positive and later committed suicide or was killed by being hit by a bus as I crossed the road, I was a C-19 death.

In 2021, that got reduced down to within 9 months, then down to 6 months, and then down to 4 weeks/28 days. If I am shot in the head and killed on the 28th day after testing positive for C-19, and despite never having symptoms, I am a C-19 death.

Recently, a 14yo boy died of brain cancer. The Canadian (I think) media said he died of C-19, despite him never testing positive for C-19. The same media outlet had a dummy in a hospital bed, hooked up to machines to show how overcrowded hospital ICUs are.

Now that we have a vaccine and have tightened up our C-19 death counting and have had nearly 2 years of lockdowns and mask mandates, the death count is higher than it was with no vaccine, no mask mandates and whatnot.

@raphjd You are right that there has been a problem about counting the number of deaths of covid19, because many countries do it differently. And every method has it pro and cons. And some countries' numbers have been too high and some too low because of politics. Still some countries have done better than others. I don't about the changing rules in Scotland, but in Denmark we are now getting the 3. shot a half year after the second. But the covid-vaccine has to be renewed like the flu shot, because the virus is changing and the antibodies get weak after some time.
