@bi4smooth Yes and you're the guinea pig, for a thing that already had deadly effects on 100% of the ferrets and other animals they tried a coronavirus vaccine on in 2012 and 2005. Meaning they already tried Coronavirus vaccines in the past and decided it was too dangerous, because 100% of the animals died, many right away, but most withing two years tops. 100%
Those are interesting statistics... because the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine is the FIRST of its kind! The research is new! It's based on research that's trying to make an HIV vaccine, and they just thought it might work for COVID-19... and since it's mRNA based, the safety was pretty much assured. (The "side effects" like blood clots, etc. have mostly been from the Johnson vaccine - which is NOT an mRNA vaccine).
So... either you're talking about different vaccines from the 20-teens, or you're talking out of your ass... I'd hazard a guess, but... nah... I'm sure you already know...
-
@bi4smooth Uh, no. You don't seem to know anything about it. It has actually been studied, coronavirus vaccines, and it was decided in 2012 by a Fauci funded program in Galveston, TX Level 4 lab that it was too dangerous to pursue a Coronavirus vaccine.

You're an idiot - plain and simple. You simply cannot read and understand the English Language.
They may very well have been researching coronavirus vaccines in 2012... but what we have today? This ain't that!
The entire company Moderna is a play on the name of the NEW technology... this COVID-19 vaccine is the FIRST they've EVER produced for human consumption! EVER! (Moderna... Modified RNA... Mod-RNA) - and they have a partnership with Pfizer, so both companies were able to produce their own versions of this mRNA vaccine separately, but using the same NEW technology.
The mRNA vaccine doesn't use dead virus, or DNA implanted into other viruses like the "old" vaccines do...
This is new shit... and it's worked AN ORDER OF MAGNITUDE better than they even HOPED it would!
The success of the Moderna and Pfizer mRNA vaccines is a positive sign for many other uses of this technology - including vaccines for HIV, HepC, an "unified" Flu vaccine, many forms of cancer... the list is truly endless! This is to modern vaccines what Salk's Polio vaccine technology was to the 1950's medical immunology field!

@bi4smooth You are delusional. It has killed more people than all vaccines combined in the last ten years.

@manhandler said in The left is eating itself.:
@bi4smooth You are delusional. It has killed more people than all vaccines combined in the last ten years.
The mRNA vaccines have not killed anyone! While there have been some deaths that occurred shortly after the vaccine, there is no known link to the nRNA vaccines, and - more importantly - those deaths fall well within what statisticians say would be expected of people IN GENERAL of the ages that were getting the earliest doses of the mRNA vaccines.
But - and I know this is a bit harsh - if you want to eschew the new mRNA vaccines, I'm all for it! The faster your ilk die off from unprotected COVID-19, and soon (as-in 10-15 years) a multitude of other mRNA related treatments (not all will be technically vaccines), the better off the country will be as a whole. This is Darwinism at its core!
I want to be clear here: I don't wish any one person ill, and truly wish all could be helped... but when people refuse the treatments and die - essentially by their own hand - well, that's the Darwin effect! Survival of the fittest and the smartest!
Check out the annual Darwin Awards - given (posthumously) to people in sincere gratitude for actively removing their flawed DNA from the Human Genome!
-
@bi4smooth No what you're proposing is upside down world. It has killed lots of people, and it's on record.

If you had the ability to comprehend timelines and science, I'd bother to try to explain it to you again... but I'll just say again... these COVID-19 vaccines are the first of their kind... EVER.
-
@bi4smooth Exactly. Which means that you are the first HUMAN trial and the guinea pig! Congratulations. It's already killed thousands. And the number is growing.

If it does kill thousands, but saves billions - I think that's a reasonable trade-off in scientific terms!
But you do you... eschew the masks, decline the vaccines!
COVID-19 may not KILL you... but your risks are a LOT higher than mine! -
@bi4smooth Are you serious? That's insane. If it kills thousands, but saves billions. It's already known that 99.7% of those who can get it will live. That's not ages 20-55. Of those outside that age group, 99.7 percent will be just fine. The idea that the virus doesn't kill people and the vaccine is, is the obvious factor here that you aren't getting.

You do you... you be your own deluded, self-important self.
Math lies.. it's corrupt and anti-Trump.
ALL of the scientists are in a cabal dedicated to the fall of Trump!
All of the ELITIST college-educated folk are conspiring against Trump! Why, it's DOCUMENTED! 81 MILLION Chinese and Russian ballots were snuck into the country... 81 MILLION people colluded and conspired against Donald Trump - mostly on Nov 3, 2020! All in an effort to get him out of power!
You call it a conspiracy - I call it an election!

This thread has wandered off to vote-by-mail, masking, and vaccinations (somebody must have sand in his panties), but to tie off the CO2 stuff:
@manhandler said in The left is eating itself.:
@bi4smooth The basic statement by John Kerry that we need to get CO2 to zero...
No; that's not what informed and intelligent people want to do. The goal is to get artificial carbon emissions (from burning fossil fuels) to zero. The plant-animal-atmosphere-ocean carbon cycle was in balance for millions of years before humans started burning huge amounts of fossil fuels, putting billions of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. This has thrown the Earth system way out of balance, and thus has led to climate change. Even if we stopped all artificial emissions of carbon today (which nobody has proposed), the surplus of carbon (as CO2) in the atmosphere and ocean would remain for many decades. It's like the "first rule of holes:" The first step to get out of one is to stop digging it deeper.

@eobox91103 Well, the result is that vegetation has increased by 14%, and trees by 7%. I don't see any global warming, in fact, just after Al Gore released "An Inconvenient Truth," he bought beach front property. If he was really worried about rising sea levels he wouldn't have done that. Even he doesn't believe it. The goal is to create a global banking system that can tax all humans for breathing air (and exhaling CO2) creating a global dictatorship run by bankers. Follow the money. It's not that your argument of A + B = C doesn't make any sense, but where is this invisible global warming? I don't see it. I see pollution, that's bad... I don't see the planet heating up and causing mass deaths or anything close to the fake alarmism. Everyone seems just fine and unaffected.

I'll ask again: Is there a reference for this? Q-anon tweets don't count.
@eobox91103 I don't see any global warming ... but where is this invisible global warming? I don't see it.
Look at https://www.climate.gov/news-features/understanding-climate/climate-change-global-temperature. (Warning: The linked webpage contains facts, and presumes that the Earth is spherical and not necessarily at the center of the Universe. This might be distressing to some readers.)

https://www.climatecentral.org/news/study-finds-plant-growth-surges-as-co2-levels-rise-16094
Go to the first reference that this article cites, from GRL. The abstract of that paper states, in part, "The role in this greening of the “CO2 fertilization” effect—the enhancement of photosynthesis due to rising CO2 levels—is yet to be established."
I'm not familiar with climatecentral.org, so I don't know how much to trust them. I did find, though, an interesting page at https://www.climatecentral.org/news/report-flooded-future-global-vulnerability-to-sea-level-rise-worse-than-previously-understood. Here's part of what that page says:
Global warming has raised global sea level about 8 inches since 1880, and the rate of rise is accelerating. Rising seas dramatically increase the odds of damaging floods from storm surges. A Climate Central analysis finds the odds of “century” or worse floods occurring by 2030 are on track to double or more, over widespread areas of the U.S.

But wait! Water is good! (Just like CO2 is good!)...
and water is necessary for life (just like CO2 is necessary for life)...Are you saying that MORE (too much) water is bad? I'm confused...
So...
- 4" of water in my cup is good! (I know it is!)
- 4" of water in my kids' playground or ball field is bad?
- 4" of water in my living room is bad, too?
And...
- CO2 on the bushes is good!
- CO2 in my facemask is bad?
- CO2 in the upper atmosphere is bad too?
How am I supposed to tell the difference?
If only there were people who could explain this to us... someone who knew science...
To know they were smart, we could call them Science-folk... or Scientists... or some other word!So long as they voted for Trump, I'll believe them! LOL

I think you're on to something! You are able to see the difference between your cup and your living room. While this might be obvious to many people, there are some who can't tell the difference.
(Note that I did not make a comment about being unimpressed by 4".
)
(Note that I just did.)If only there were people who could explain this to us... someone who knew science...
Oh, but you can't trust those science-ists: In order to do their work, they often use "arithmetic." This can lead people to believe that 81 million votes is more than 74 million votes, or that 306 electors is more than 232 electors. The consequences of that would be for the Dear Leader to move to Florida and no longer have a pulpit. (But fear not, his cult members will continue to worship him. When he leaves this mortal coil, perhaps they will have him embalmed and displayed in a glass case, like Lenin, Mao, and the elder Kims. His family will probably trademark the word "Trumpsicle" and try to get royalties from it to pay off their legal bills.)

Trumpsickle - I'll say right now, I'm not licking one!
