i've been seeding for weeks but it won't upload, help?

@unluckybotto That is excellent that there may be 5 peers available, but to connect to them, your ports need forwarding so that your torrent client can talk with their torrent clients.

(To increase your safety for torrenting in general, VPN is recommended, but let's fix this first!)

@ricky may i ask how can i foreward a port? are there any specifics? is there a totorial or something like that?

@unluckybotto Before you start, go here first: https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/
It will be pre-filled with your IP number, but type in the port number you're using in your torrent client, then click on Check.
If it says your port is Open, then we will have to try something else.

Excellent that your port is forwarding correctly, and open!
Sad that there is no connection between you and the available peers (leechers) at the moment. You need leechers that connect good as well.
Please keep that torrent running to keep getting a seed point bonus (SPB) every two hours.
The next time you look for something that you want, look for a torrent that is new, with few seeders, and/or a lot of leechers, to improve your chances towards a better ratio.

@ricky my pc is always on and where i live torrenting isn't illegal so i don't have a problem keeping a file on seed 24/7,however all my uploads seem to stop after uplading a very small percentage of the downloaded file

@ricky thank you for your help! i guess the problem as you said is that not many people are looking to download drag race, I'll look up other ways to fix my share ration hopefully before the torrent I'm interested in is dead.

@unluckybotto The torrent you're interested in, if it is new or has plenty of leechers, it might be better to get it now.
Which torrent are you interested in? (It will help to provide a link to it.)

@ricky do you have any idea why it isn't listed as seeding? i downloaded a freeleech one for testing but that one is listed without problems, this is weird

Which one isn't listed as seeding? If it's the RuPaul one, you should have both uploading activity (seeding) and downloading activity (leeching). Once you have it fully downloaded, then you'll be seeding only.
