So, it appears or appearED that the "Fuck you fags" thread was locked since yesterday, but there have been several replies added since. Then again, those replies were from those with the designation of Global Moderator. Why are you guys so special? Is the thread locked or isn't it?
Actually, I wish it wasn't locked. I'd like to find out that the douchebag called machina2 would find a way to get another account, only to find out that, not only did his insult NOT insult us, but actually provided some entertaining fodder.
So, if you're gonna lock a thread, shouldn't it be locked for EVERYONE?

I would say the most effective, and in fact, the only way to deal with trolls is to lock the thread, make no other comment, and of course ban them. Trolls thrive on ANY attention and reaction.

I did not lock it but it is locked to the general membership to make replies. Global Mods do have access to locked topics.
I assume this was locked to prevent flaming posts but as I said I did not lock it and will not unlock it. I did think to remove the post completely but have left it for educational purposes. I thought it funny frankly that some one would go to this much trouble to spread his hate.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I didn't realise threads could be removed. If that's the case I would think that would be the best solution all round… nothing for members to react to, therefore no reaction for the (now banned) troll.

The thread should have been locked and left alone so it would fall off the face of the earth into the death thread abyss.
EDIT: I edited that thread so you can see how it should have been handled.

It was me that locked the topic after the ban :police:
Sometimes that is the best way to avoid further posts from bored people that have nothing to do during the day :police:
