Portion control keeps our "little cheats" from becoming "too much sweets," so I think you should divide the chocolate bars.

      –----------

We will have to agree to disagree on the value of "traditional" (I take umbrage at the term "antiquated") board and card games vs. today's video or phone games.

A game of cards or backgammon involves friends, sitting across a table, perhaps after a good meal and now, a stiff drink, conversing and re-connecting while they throw the dice or place a bid.

      Or...

...use a cell phone to play Words with Friends, (as likely to be played with a stranger)?  Well, at least it hones vocabulary skills.

...walk, stupefied, for weeks, around shopping malls and parking garages, to find rare Pokemon Go creatures?

...bring out the console for a family night of Grand Theft Auto -- improves hand-eye coordination, and as a hidden benefit, glorifies violence toward women, the police, and anyone deemed "weak?"

...perform a self-lobotomy with endless phone games of Candy Crush and Angry Birds?

No, I should find other activities.

      –----------

SIoSI call my cable company, and use bargaining strategies – including a threat to cut service -- in an effort to get a better bundled rate, or extra premium channels/other perks?

You should always bargain for a lower price unless you're in Japan because they will let you walk away.  :afr:

I can't believe it's almost the new year. Correctly speaking, today is the last day of autumn – tomorrow begins winter. What should you do this winter?

Wear a scarf and a leather jacket.

          You should adopt a mouse.

A real mouse?  I have six cats.  It will be a very short pet relationship.

SIoSI spend an hour with a friend at one of those "Escape Rooms," which are now everywhere in NYC?

I hated the movie, but sure I'd like to give it a try! All good if my life isn't in peril.

Continuing on the topic, you should play a round of paintball.

I should! Over here it has to be laser tag, though. No guns of any kind allowed.  ;D

You should play a board game over the holidays.

The pain adds to the fun, does laser tag makes you feel anything?

I shouldn't, want to role play some D&D or Anima Beyond Fantasy instead.

(Paintball is illegal here. That kind of gun is considered a weapon, so the game doesn't exist here. There are a few places where you can do laser tag, or so I heard.)

Oh, I agree. We should play D&D!

You should celebrate the (Japanese) emperor's birthday, today.  ::)

Sure!  Happy birthday to the old dude.  His son, Crown Prince Naruhito  (below), was kind of cute in the day.

SIoSI go see Hansel and Gretel at the Metropolitan Opera this holiday season?

                      (Spoiler Alert:  We are going.)

Of course, don't miss it. Though some of Met shows are really outdated for the contemporary viewer, hope you don't fall asleep if that's the case.

Should I go on a cardboard diet? (Reference to this https://youtu.be/RKOZgQy8qrw)

It's shocking how real those play, like the actors are actually saying that.  :cheesy2:

Nope. No cardboard diet for you. You should, however, add more fiber to your diet.

Truffles. I'm thinking of purchasing European truffles for New Years. One will cost about 100USD. Should I or shouldn't I splurge?

Based on your history of culinary delights, I would say you absolutely should.  I see ads for black winter truffles.  Is that your goal?

Should I, or Shouldn't I, try a dish with ghee at a nearby Tibetan restaurant?

Black truffles but be careful to get those grown in Europe vs their inexpensive Chinese cousins.

Ghee is nothing exotic. It's just butter with the water and solids removed. Go for it (then find an online Indian grocer to send you some, go with the best quality you can afford).

I'm torn. I don't want to move but I need to go shopping in a few minutes. Should I or shouldn't I go to Starbucks for some motivation?

what motivation? Starbucks here is full of wearing exposed women  :cool2: .

should I or shouldn't I eat sheep testis (羊宝) BBQ tonight?

Wearing exposed women, like those carnivals from Brazil?

Sheep testis, you should indeed. Get the tongue as well.

Should I or not start to drawing again?

Back to ghee - I live a street away from an Indian neighbourhood in Toronto and make my own ghee.

Should I shouldn't I tell a volunteer that she annoys the fuck out of me?

No. You shouldn't be rude because someone annoys you. A public or workspace requires us to adjust. Simply remove yourself or pull her aside to talk honestly about what's bothering you.

(On ghee, the milk used to make the butter which becomes ghee is different cow to cow, feed to feed, place to place, so you're making clarified butter unless you're using butter imported from India. More or less the same thing but subtleties can transform your Butter Chicken Curry. 😉 )

I cleaned and completely redecorated my home. You should clean your home (a spring cleaning) before the new year.

Good for you and your cleaning/redecoration!  Yes, my house needs to have the "cat" factor removed one more time before 2018.  I have a cleaning lady, but I always clean alongside her, because I have control issues.  It's co-dependent cleaning.

I don't celebrate Christmas.  SIoSI light some candles in the windows at night, just to follow the season in some fashion?

I need to burn calories. Should I go to the gym twice tomorrow, once in the morning and once at night?

You're OK going to the gym twice tomorrow, as long as you've isolated the workouts to different muscle groups (back, legs, etc…).  I'm sure you already have a regimen for that, big boy.

SIoSI go across to Times Square to see the ball drop on New Year's Eve, or watch it from the comfort of my living room?

Here's the forecast for NYC temperatures… perhaps a factor in the decision!
