I honestly can't make a clear case between "someone else" and "somebody else." If there's a link to raise my awareness, feel free.
Having flunked that test, I'm shifting very far away:
My German grandfather liked liverwurst sandwiches and sardine sandwiches. Which one should I try – or perhaps, both?
Or, I shouldn't try either of these smelly foods, because they're nasty? :puke:

I love both of those sandwiches. Liverworst is one of my favorites, so you should go with that then get a good can (at least a King Oscar grade and above) can of sardines for tomorrow's sandwich.
You should eat offal, you choice as to what but yummy offal.
(Btw, somebody and someone are interchangable. Somebody is considered casual, so you wouldn't use it in a business letter or document and so it's less frequently used. If you use someone you'll never be wrong.)
