Not all uploaders have a healthy posting ratio, so giving points to them can help boost their credits if they 'buy' upload GBs. But as we don't know who the uploaders are it is difficult to judge.
Making torrents freeleech is a good use and if you do that leave a comment underneath saying you've done just that. You are unlikely to get any thanks but at least you've left your mark
About the only other use is to buy invites but they are freely given to those who are regular users of the forums

So basically if you upload less than average, it can help build up your ratio by buying the traffic? Thats what I never understood since I saw some write that their ratio barely changed by buying the traffic…

I save mine up and buy more ratio so, eventually it isn't necessary tho

I dont need ratio that bad. Besides what counts is the buffer download. so I try to freeleech stuff but as someone said in another thread, only 12 points per 24 hours are given so it takes a while to be able to.

Invites can be sent to other individuals you know to join Gaytorrent.ru. When they register a new account from the invite, you will given 2 GB of upload credit. Invites can be obtained by exchanged for seed bonus points at the Exchange
In order for you to be able to send invites, you must be a Power User. Read this on how to become a Power User

In all seriousness though I think putting them towards making torrents Freeleech is the way to go. Just make sure the torrents you choose have plenty of seeders, otherwise it's just a waste of points. -
I'd say the opposite. I'll give Freeleech to files that have one or two Seeders - they tend to be the rare ones that most people may have missed and it improves your own ratio if you are one of two seeders rather than one of 50 or so.

That's a good point. And hopefully it works that way. I've just had a lot of bad experiences with Freeleeches that haven't fully downloaded or have taken so long to download that they're no longer available as a Freeleech. There was a Jesse Blum collection that I never completed and I was practically begging for a reseed for months but it wasn't meant to be. The main problem is that people don't always seed the torrent after they download it. But I commend you for Freeleeching the rare gems out there.

Typically when I find torrents that are more than 12 months old and have few seeders, I'll request re-seed if possible, then put a 156 hour freeleech on it, and in some cases, even promote it back to the top of the list. I'm always looking for torrents to do this with.

There are a whole slew of older videos that are difficult to find that'll I'll make Freeleech so that other people can enjoy them: Oh Brother, Kept After School, Mountain Patrol, Doing It, The Grease Monkey, and Kansas City Trucking Co for examples.
