I have avg free on my system. I just today noticed that my utorrent wasn't working. Not only that, but it has been completely removed from my computer by the gosh danged anti-virus program….AVG. It won't let me remove it from the quarantine status. Any ideas on how to fix this? or which anti-virus program I can switch to that won't disallow my system from torrents?

Are you sure the whole program was removed? Check to see if your utorrent settings and torrents are still present in "C:\Users<user name="">\AppData\Roaming" There should be a folder there called "utorrent". Try redownloading utorrent from http://www.utorrent.com/ and see if that fixes the problem.

Also, I uploaded the file to virustotal and it didn't look like AVG detected it, maybe it is a behavior blocker detection or the utorrent file you downloaded may have been fake.

Thank you very much. I found everything right where you said it was/should be. All is back up & running. Much appreciated
