      @farkme:

I wouldn't say they are my favourite but I watched and like:

      Mr Right (2009)
      hxxp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0882789/

      Were The World Mine (2008)
      hxxp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0476991/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Shank (2009) - Trigger warning - Extreme physical and sexual violence.
      hxxp://www.imdb.com/title/tt1288571/combined

Another Gay Movie (2006) - The Sequel not so much.

      Edge of Seventeen

Well, the only one that I know of your list is Edge of Seventeen, I'll watch the other these days. Thanks for sharing!  😉

        My Top 5 so far…
        1. Brokeback Mountain (2005)
        2. Shelter (2007)
        3. Milk (2008)
        4. Weekend (2011)
        5. Pride (2014)

To be honest, Brokeback Mountain (2005) & Shelter (2007) are equally number 1 on my list, but because Brokeback Mountain (2005) was wide released and Best Picture nomination, gave it the advantage to be on the top spot.

Shelter is my all time favourite. I haven't seen a better gay themed movie since I watched this one /personally/. Jongens is another great Dutch movie that I watched recently.

I downloaded Shelter nearly three years ago and I am not sure I have watched it. Perhaps something for the longer nights which start on Sunday  🙂

                          I recommend everyone a little masterpiece called C.R.A.Z.Y. by Jean-Marc Vallée (2005).
Considered one of the 10 best Canadian movies of all time, 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, very talented cast, the main character is super cute and it has one of the best soundtracks ever put together for a movie.
It holds a special place in my heart because I watched it with my family and helped my father to start accepting my homosexuality.

Wow, nice to hear that. I should show it to my father too, he still doesn't know…

I didn't like “Monster Pies” and “Summer Storm”, but I loved “North Sea Texas”.

So, if it's a matter of 50/50, I'll try to see “Floating Skycrapers”  😉

I love a gay themed movie which has heart and can make you laugh-not to say the sadder, more serious ones aren't important of course, it's just my preference.

So if you like your themed movies lighthearted, or inspiring- these are some of my recommendations:

The Birdcage (1996) with strong performances by Nathan Lane and Robin Williams.
                                          Pride
                                          Latter Days
                                          You Should Meet My Son
                                          Longhorns

Also- even though we're talking movies- I have to also add the TV series New Normal. It was a lot of fun while it lasted.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short.
But shout it at them in German, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

                                            Longhorns

Also- even though we're talking movies- I have to also add the TV series New Normal. It was a lot of fun while it lasted.

I love “The Birdcage” (Williams was just perfect) and “Pride” (although I wanted that one of the boys didn't remain alone at the end of the film, and yes, I'm talking about Joe).

I didn't like “Longhorns”, but Villanueva was hot enough to see the whole movie. Haha.

The other ones that you mentioned, I'll keep them in mind.  😉
