Uploading help please

Could someone tell me what I am doing wrong. I created a torrent using transmission on my Mac. I then manually uploaded but when I down load the file I cannot get it to seed. This is the way I have done uploads in the past and it has work. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong or how to get transmission to recognize the source file?

Are you pointing to the exact file that you made the torrent from. What message are you getting from transmission?
It's difficult to know what you might be doing wrong when you don't describe exactly what you are doing.
