I totally disagree with both statements, that mindset is a huge turn off, and strikes me as totally disrepectful. I'm not trying to rape the guy i'm playing with I'm trying to enjoy a hot time with him and others. I treat my sex partners the way I want to be treated. Men today have no idea how to fuck, it's like you're in a fucking porn movie and it's all rough and being treated like you're a piece of shit. There's no connection, no sense of passion, it's ugly and vulgar, What the fuck is up with that?
There is nothing wrong with role play, as long as both parties agree beforehand the boundaries and there is also nothing wrong with the rougher side of sex if that's what all involve enjoy, but just treating everyone the same is not the way to go. Also, if someone says don't force them to do something then you obey their wishes.
Agreed. There are some very disconcerting views about sex, what sex "is", and where simple BDSM/role play ends and apparent self-loathing begins being expressed here… Some guys are so hung up on not "being gay", they act like complete psychopaths just to prove how "manly" they are. It's depressing.

What is 'rough' and what is 'gentle'? Don't guys typically go 'harder' when they're approaching their climax? Anyway, gentle can be rough, and rough can be gentle.
Gentle, slow fucking is torture for some, while rough, fast fucking takes the edge off for an otherwise excruciatingly intense slow fuck.

It's about a compromise between partners. I prefer if we both are enjoying than somebody giving me what I want but not enjoying the moment. Also, if it's rough, I like it authentic not porn-like.
