Hello and funny surprise when registering

Towards the end of last year I remember impatiently trying to get an account here, checking fairly regulary to see if registrations would open. I would check reddit, forums, twitter et but no luck.
About a week ago they did finally open and then, when excitedly creating an account, the registration page gave an error saying… that my email address had already been used and I should log into it rather than make a new one.
All those weeks of waiting and it turns out I made one almost three years ago then completely forgot about it:
