        @JohnAllenson:

        Congratulations to Australia.

        Although I didn't like the feeling that more than a third of the country wanted me to be a second class citizen, I'll try to remain positive and remember that Love Won in the end. Next stop, LGBT adoption rights…

          Taiwan has allowed gay marriage as of 2018. Becoming the first asian country to do so.

            Romania  still refuse  to    aknowledge  this  right to gay  people. There  are  a  couple  of  legal  actions  taking  place,  but right  now  we  don t  exist in  our  law' s perspective.

              Yes, in Spain is has been legal since 2005. Spain was one of the first countries in Europe to legalize gay marriage and the third in the world by that time.

              Very proud of my country in that respect:

                Nope, just civil unions in Greece as far as I recall.

                  I have nothing against gay marriage, if you feel like it, then go, but I don't think it will be allowed in our country. Maybe not in my lifetime.

                    Why not? May things not change in your country to allow gay marriage?

                      We are a deeply religious country inspite of the social media age. It will be pass in our congress but I doubt it will get a yes vote.

                      Maybe many, many, many years from now but not in the near future.

                        That's a pity  :cry2:
                        Spain used to be a very strong religious country, but that has changed in the last decades. Enough to have from 2005 legal gay marriage in my country.

                          I guess we don't dwell on gay marriage issue that much, as I've mentioned in my previous reply, maybe someday but probably not in my lifetime.

                            Poland - still no . This country is too religious to accept gay marriages

                              Luckily it's legal in the UK and not likely to change any time soon

                                I'm very glad to be Canadian living in Canada. We have had same sex marriage for some time. The only trouble I had with it was at first when I first got married, gay marriage was legal, however gay divorce was not, so it took some time to finally be able to divorce my now ex-husband.

                                  Yes in Australia. Is legal couple years now. However de-facto relation was legal prior to that. My origin country Greece is recognizing only de-facto relations.

                                      Unfortunately not, in Bulgaria gay marriage is not legal.
