Can't stay logged in

Until recently I could stay logged in to the site forever between sessions, but since a couple of weeks I must login again for every session. Even after a few hours of inactivity I get 404-ed and must login again. I've looked for an option to stay logged in but can't find it anywhere. And yes, cookies are enabled for this site.
What changed? Or what am I missing?TIA Layoh

As a security measure the site will log you out after a few hours, no matter if you are active or not. There is no option to change the settings.

Getting fed up of having to scroll through the same posts each visit?
