I used to have about 700GB, I stored most of it on my WD My Passport 1TB (age:1.3 years). One day, the hard drive became unreadable and started making clicking noise. I treated it with discretion, I don't understand why this happened.
A data recovery company told me it was either the head or platter's problem, and it would cost me AT LEAST US$650 to recover the data.
I wasn't intended to recover my porn collection of 5 years, I wanted to save my family's photos, but $650 was way out of budget.Anyway, here's some pieces of advice:
Make multiple backup of your important files. (Cloud storage is the best solution)
I don't know if watching video/torrenting on a HDD is harmful to it, but I suggest you not to store your important files on your porn/torrenting hard drive.Sorry for my bad English.

I Filled up by 2TB with porn from here itself and just bought a 5TB external drive.

It seems to be a fairly common practice today. My follow up questions are WTF happens if the world catpitulates to anti-piracy laws?
Why would you need great speed or large Gig packages from ISP's if you don't D/L?
Imagine OFFICEWORKS complaining that 90% of external hardrives sales have disappeared…..? -

try the program diskwarrior. I had the same said to me about my Disk got home and tryed DiskWarrior program and it did it for me…

wow and I thought having 30GB was bad lol, I keep downloading more, like one vid a day, how often do you guys go back to watch your vids though?

Currently about 400GB - I haven't watched all (yet) and surely i'm not going to keep all, no. I keep mainly for seeding purposes.
Oh I almost forgot I have about 100GB in cloud
I need a new HDD - the one I've been looking costs about 50€
I seed mostly/mainly European pr0n 
::)One more thing: All "my" pr0n is movies/films/dvds (in avi/mp4/etc) - I don't seem to fancy clips. Some 6GB is images.

Well, it can't be over 3TB. so subtracting music and non porn film we might be looking at 1.5TB of porn. I am pretty sure I have well over a million pics and I am very obsessive about cataloging them so I have to have looked at each one at the very least once. The vids I get, well, for one thing, they are very hard to categorize in any meaningful way other than simply by title. They will look fun but I am actually more busy with the pics. So there's lots that I haven't even seen. That can be said also for my odd film collection (I tend to call porn 'vids' and the others 'film', works for me…). I do not call my film collection 'odd' for no reason. Go look up "Spider Baby" on IMDb. I actually have this damn thing. So, I got a question for the rest of us that have huge collections, have you managed to actually watch all the vids you have? I know I have not. I'm just really obsessive about porn. It's the coin collection I had as a kid, but more fun. :cheers:
