Still waiting for someone to reply. I feel so down because of my stretch marks. Not so willing to go for surgery.

Some people get them when their muscles expand/shrink.
I have some of the side of my ass.

Try using cocoa butter lotion after you get out of the shower everyday. It may help reduce the marks, or prevent more from developing.

yup you have to really moisturize your skin because you are stretching it fast, coconut butter, cocoa butter, emu oil… just keep it well moisturized 🙂

I don't have them from growing muscle so much as I do from having gone from 105 lbs to 245 lbs within about a 10 month period. I'm still in the process of working them off, but I completely understand your frustrations with them, as I now have many that I fear will never go away.

I've had some near my ass from teenage years. I'm not that big, but it happened anyway. I moisturized all the time. I don't think that really works. The marks aren't because your skin is dry, it's because it's being stretched. Some people get them easily, other's don't. Not much you can do without a cosmetic procedure.

to my knowledge stretch marks are caused by rapid expansion of the tissue inside the surrounding skin. Fat or muscle could cause this perhaps.. Try monitoring your weird, daily caloric intake, and exercise pattern. Making Adjustments to these slightly over time with a healthy goal in mind at a reasonable pace (no more than 5-10lbs a week perhaps).. and lots of cocoa butter to mitigate the issues with skin and it's major changes it's undergoing. the younger you are the better you will heal from this with regards to skin, depending on the severity and rate of change too. so.. yeah.

                  Good luck,
                  best wishes,
                  don't forget you're beautiful no-matter what!

                  regards,

It's perfectly normal, get rid of existing ones with bio-oil. keep moisturised to prevent new ones

It depends on your age. I'm about 31. I have a few from gaining muscles, but they do disappear. If not completely, they're barely noticeable. If you're around my age, I wouldn't worry.

Stretch marks around the upper thigh/ass area is extremely common among men.  It's part of the way our bodies grow as we get into our late teens/early twenties.

Stretchmarks are also common if you gain a lot of weight fast, whether through exercize or lack there of.

Bio-oil is meant to be good for them, its not about dry skin its about elasticity in the skin

I have them and my dermatologist prescribed a regime of creams and glycolic acid to help remove them. It's taking a long time, but I see improvements.

                                        @bebekid:

Same, I got really fat in high school. There's laser treatments available as well, a little bit expensive.

It's impossible to completely get rid of them but you can get them to the point where they are barely noticeable if you are tan. (Note don't tan after laser, they will tell you that…)

My main solution to this was to do strength training to "look as good as I can."

                                        I'm not a model, so ...

I have quite a few around my belt area, my thighs, which are sometimes also itchy because they're dry (I don't unterstand why they can be dry there, but they do get dry)
