Wedding - are you willing to do that?

i'm still waitining

Wedding is a lie of heterosexual society, so why should we insist on this authoritarian practice? We must break the wheel, must not be part of it. Also even unmarried gays don't have a single relationship, so why should I trust a gay partner just we signed a contract? If you all gays are delusional or you just insist on this just for the sake of heterosexuals doing this. Universal stupidity?
Ok, so you like open relationships. Good for you.
I like monogamy and so does my husband.
If you (generic) date a whore, they won't stop being a whore just because you married them. There is only one person to blame for your partner being a whore; YOU (generic). No one forced you to date that person.
True dat

It's not for me personally, it's not that I see marriage as a hetero thing, it's the religious aspect I disagree with. I am not religious and feel that marriage is a religious institution (which states have sought to monetise) which serves no purpose to me, my relationships or in my life.
Commitments can be made to each other, you can share the love in your relationship with your families and friends, you can dedicate a special day and celebrate it together for years to come and all without the pomp, ceremony and cost of a wedding. Love should be about what you share together, not about the formalities and expectations that a wedding brings.
Having said that, if I were to go down the whole public ceremony route with a special guy then I also like the fact that civil partnerships are just for gays, something we can do which straight people can't (at least for now) and that removes the religious element also so I'd still go for that option despite gay marriage now being legal.

I'm not a whore. I don't even know how can I be a one?
That's a false assumption that every married gays will be faithful each other forever. Even sex become a duty after a time. I know people are still on those stupid sites and their husbands know that (also why do I call them "husband" is a prove that we are under the pressure of heterosexual norms).
All we are gays, so telling lies isn't necessary here.

Some people are delusional about the definition of a queen. I know someone that does not view himself as a flaming queen, but wonders why everyone immediately knows he's gay. When you talk about fashion and weddings and swish when you walk, etc., the list goes on, then you are a queen.

People know I'm immediately gay and I don't do anything like that. =(

I have no intention of marrying anyone. Now that gay marriage is legal in my country, I am interested in removing discrimination against single people. In my country singles are discriminated against in the tax code, and married people get more employment benefits, lower insurance, etc.

I didn't say you were a whore. HOWEVER, you did say that unmarried gay couples aren't faithful.
Being gay DOES NOT stop us from wanting the same thing as heteros.
Just because I'm gay, doesn't mean that I eat dinner with 4 guys fisting me while another shits on my face.

These hypocritical assholes in the greek goverment made it clear that there wiil never allow gay marriage in Greece. Those pigs!
It will happen there, too, eventually. It's just that they are still a bit sensitive about the whole ancient man/boy thing from 2,000 years ago. Much of history has not been kind to them about that, so they don't want anyone to point and say, "See! I told you so!" But then if you have seen many Greek women, you'd wonder how they can make babies there at all.

I'm getting married next year, probably in September and we intend to make it a proper wedding… Ceremony, a big party after the vows, family and everything...
What are your thoughts about it?
Though generally I think marriage is outmoded, just a way for the society to force people to stay together and to announce to it that someone is no longer available, thereby enforcing faithfulness even when the partner can't be trusted, it's fine if it makes people happy. And there are the legal ramifications to consider.
So, why not? It's about time that no one be spared the misery, sense of imprisonment, and the feeling of having a millstone hung around the neck that married people have been forced to experience all these centuries. All marriages are "same sex marriages" - it's the same sex, day after day.

I wish I could too
^^ (still not legal in Italy)
