Uploading new torrent to replace a dead one?
-
Hello,
I have a replacement for a torrent file that I see is dead. Is this allowed?
Thanks -
If your file is in a different size or format, you can upload it. But if it has the same size and format, don't upload it just yet.
Sometimes dead torrents get resurrected, and if this happens, your torrent will be considered a duplicate and will be removed from the system.
The best you can do is contact the Helpdesk and inform them that you have a replacement for a dead torrent. You have to provide the link for the dead torrent.
A Reseed Request will be sent, and if no seeder appears within 3 days, the dead torrent will be removed from the system and you can upload yours.
