Wanted to throw in I'm having a problem too
I can't get the page to load for nuthin.My trackers keep saying "tracker sending invalid data" too but I don't know that that's related. /shrug.

I would agree, noxxim, but due to the fact, that other IPs on the server where GT.ru is hosted haven't got the same problems, therefore I would say, that the hardware is not the cause.
I rather would suggest to fix the php - settings, because I definetly think that the secure tunnels for each user doesn't seem to be optimized, or had been missconfigured in the past. Especially since the freeleech - option, there is definetly more action now on the server and the standard configuration on rent servers for https is not really a good advice.
But I wouldn't blame the siteowner for all these problems. It is pretty easy to find problems on a busy site ( server ), but most often it is not very easy to find the very right specifications, because every site ( server ) is different in it's configuration and therefore there are loads of possible solutions. Also think about it, that they don't earn money with this hobby, they are doing this for fun and in their spare time!
Edit: Apart from all, I must admitt, that the problems are at the moment worse again. I hope that you still work on a lasting solution. ^^

Although many users are affected to different degrees, it seems that Chrome users report the most severe cases. As already mentioned above, Chrome users who switched to Mozilla Firefox, report that they experience a significant difference. Here's a suggestion: try Firefox.To BrienBear:

It's totally unrelated. This error message appears to Windows 8 users (as yourself) who have avast! as their antivirus program. If this is your case, you have three options:
a) Change your OS.
b) Change your antivirus program.
c) Disable the Network Shield in the avast! In order to do this, go to Real-Time Shields in your avast!, select Network Shield, and press Stop (at the top right). -

I live in the US and reported on this problem back on Jan. 4. I would like to report that for the last two days I have experienced normal (fast) speeds when I am online in the morning hours, like right now. However, when I try to get into the site in the afternoon or evening it is next to impossible.
Again, it seems to operate ok early in the morning, like right now, but impossibly slow the rest of the day.

Any comment from the site owner.I think the poll said over 40% of users were experiencing it.

It's mostly loading very very slow and sometimes (rare) not at all. Specially in the forum it's extremely slow. Something has to change to speed it up a bit.

It's ok at this time of day it's around 6-10 GMT when it's almost unuseable.
